Madge needs to go. No game plan , no confidence in the players and has spent the last 4 years stifling them so much that they have no confidence in themselves.

One out runs and dancing around like headless chooks. Taking the 2 to go 4 points in front with a couple of minutes left was as weak and embarrassing as the previous 77 minutes
 
The writing was on the wall when Ryan M wanted and walked out. Coach should have been let go then.
Madge is unable to attract any top shelf players and unfortunately until we can do that we will always be a basket case on and off the field.
 
That ball hitting the post at the end was almost the football Gods way of letting us know Madge is not meant for this job. As bad as Laurie is, he‘d have swallowed that kick if it didn’t and we win.

Winning is everything as a coach that’s how you are judged luck of no luck.
Prior to thx match I did not card about the result either way as I want the coach gone. Like a broken record these press conferences, simply he can’t win,
 
firstly I would like to say after the loss on Thursday I was thinking when can we sack this bloke? How soon can we get a new coach in? But after thinking about it all weekend I think we are moving in the rite direction. If a few things had gone our way we would easily be sitting here with 3 wins and 1 loss then everything is completely different obviously.

I argue that if Jackson Hastings is playing in the last 2 games we win and I argue if Adam doughi plays against the storm we win

With injuries to

Shawn blore
Adam doughi
Asu kapaoe
Jacob liddle
Tommy talua

That’s 5 injury’s to start the season 5 injuries before a ball is even kicked these 5 players were all in the 17 most weeks last year and the knock on effect from that is our reserve grade is 5 decent players short from there best team I get that good teams cover injuries but we arnt a good team yet but we are getting there I think we have to stick with Madge atleast till the end of year

Next year we are getting 2 of the best players in the nrl Madge can clearly sell his vision for the club to players just listen to the Jackson Hastings interview with Mathew Jonhns on fox last night he couldn’t have spoken more highly of him and Luciano is on record saying madge is the best coach he has ever had if we were getting flogged 30 zip every week I’d agree yep Madge has lost the dressing room but we have been so close to winning.

I know it’s hard to listen to Madge’s interviews but really what can he say that’s gonna make us happy and not load a hole heap more pressure on players that are already struggling for confidence and if he drops these players who’s he gonna bring in? There is no 1 pushing for a spot from reserve grade

I know it’s hard guys and I know this rebuild is taking way longer than we expected but this club was a deadset mess when Madge got here but now we have some up side we have plenty of cap space for years to come
And some decent players coming next year

Yeah for sure unless it’s Wayne Bennett Trent Robinson or Craig Bellamy
Madge has succeeded at all his previous clubs hopefully he can do it here

Finzo, there is absolutely no way that one of those coaches would come to an organisation like we have after what they’ve achieved with fully supportive best practice clubs.
Phil Gould warned Cleary not to come to Tigers, but he didn’t listen to the guy who sacked him, had to find out for himself.

Because he was a smug snake in the grass that fooled everyone...
Including all us.

He's exposed his true self now though, He'd never get away with it again.
Although, I don't imagine he'll have to... He's writing his own cheques and terms out there...
 
On the negative:
Madge can’t coach attack. Every year it’s gotten worse. The players often don’t get up for games. The team rarely wins an arm wrestle. The players look confused on the field a lot.

On the positive:
The defence has improved this year. The will to compete has improved this year. We have a large injury list which includes our best players. Quite a few seem to care.

0-4 is a disastrous start, surely to extend this weekend and next. Hard to justify in a weak comp but he may survive.

I don’t disagree with any of that, but to say Madge can’t coach attack is to also say that the attack coach is out of his depth too? I’m not convinced on that point. Not from what I saw in the first 40 min of 2022. You could put it down to Storm being a little weak in the forwards, or successful execution of Tigers playbook? No pressure in the first game, only needed to do what they’ve been training to do?
