Rules out Woolfe for them too.
Wonder if Ciraldo really isn’t interested in heading over the ditch? If Ivan was in his ear, he’d be endorsing the idea as that was where he got his start.
We have the nucleus of a good team and with re inforcements coming next year in api and papalia. Ciraldo has worked with Laurie , Naden and api. He’s been sold on our great juniors coming through . I think we have the most upside out of the 3 jobs. Dogs panicked buy and other then burton this year the rest have looked ordinary.

I'm still a bit perplexed by the appointment of Kimmorley as interim coach. I'm curious to see what he brings to the side and I hope he does well.

But I'd have been curious to see how Ben Gardiner handled the side. He had Reggies going along really nicely and playing some good footy before Covid buggered everything.

Gardiner is also a school teacher I believe possibly full time or part time I’m not sure.
This may of attributed to the decision

A nice upbeat post.

I still reckon Laurie would benefit from a massive build up of strength and power aka DWZ.

I’ve had the good fortune of meeting DWZ and came away with a nice impression.

Physically, I can assure you, he is a rock!

That upgrade would be to complement Daine’s rare and unique gifts of evasion and agility.

Some of his best manoeuvres are based on a series of sub second decisions. So it’s in him.

A very talented player, natural or whatever the label is.

We'd all agree....
I can't ever see Daino hitting that shape or Strength...
He's going to have to find some other way to make it work for him...

Not sure why there's so much negative emphasis being placed on Sheens statement about wanting a development coach.
We've identified our junior pathway systems as a sustainable base for the growth of our talent pool but still need the best "human resources" available to improve the retention and skill development of these groups of players.
A coach that has specialised in this area - working with youth - will bring a great advantage to unifying our vision but more importantly rebuilding a team fully knowing what is required to get individuals to that next stage in their development.

IMO it's increasingly necessary that we get someone who's already achieved success (albeit in the lower grades) and can use this when working with the team's inherent benefits, limitations and risks.
Our culture isn't as poor as it once was but I believe it's shown that we've been trying to put square pegs in round holes for far too long, as we're failing to enhance the team's overall functionality in a high performing sport.
It's not just our younger boys either but a majority of the team really do struggle with skill adaptability and their engagement with game day constraints. So having a development coach addresses all these areas.

Flanno as our new coach could fix that in 3 courses/sorry

I had a selfie with DWZ and I’m not creepy or anything but it was arms around ( like a team photo) and I inadvertently touched his back shoulder region and all I accidentally sensed (through the atoms on my fingertips) was a solid slab of granite or the bottom of an Antarctic ice core sample from 3 million years ago.

@stryker 69 is going to argue that I set it all up for untoward gratification purposes because he can’t help taking the piss out of me. But if he’s tuning in, he won’t want me to expose some of his pearlers on another forum last year!

I believe our "culture" issue was a beat up to deflect from the issue which has been dealt with now. There was nothing wrong with the culture when Cleary was coach or when WTs had players in motion and were playing expansive football.

I believe you. I saw him lining up at one of the Kings semis a few years back at Acer and I’d say he’d have more muscles in his face then most would have in their arms.
Ripped as!

There’s was no putting of the shit on Dennis I was just trying to have some fun.

It’s been a tough 24 hours. I backed Madge and I lost but I am not abandoning the club. I won’t hear of it.

My own review would see a lot of more of the board sacked before Dennis.

If I have a weakness for any official, it’s a very sad addiction to actually having a second of the time of day for bloody Pascoe.

Ive tried to go cold Turkey, but I keep feeling sorry for him.

I know it makes me an outcast and renders me friendless, but I can’t help it.
Thanks @TSP 🙂 A very good reply.

Moses, Woods, and Tedesco all left after Cleary joined so obviously they weren’t a big fan of Cleary’s “culture”.

Cleary had nothing to do with it. They’d already made up their minds to leave. All made the right decision too except for Woods. Absolute cock-up him leaving. A combination of him being an absolute airhead who believed he’d become bigger than the club, and some very bad advice being given to him. Could and should have been a one club player, yet will retire deservedly known as a drifter. I can see him trying to get back into the clubs good graces post-retirement by saying positive things about them. Very glad Madge shut the door on his return to the club this year. Let him flounder on 1 year contracts till he finally hangs them up.
