Mitch Moses Denied Release - Confirmed

At least the Tigers have drawn a line in the sand and won't be dictated to by a player manager. I'd also be refusing to let him leave. We are down on halves options and he has a contract with us. No point in releasing him right now, unless of course he absolutely dogs it out on the field.

The priority now needs to be Tedesco and Woods, a front rower to partner Woods and a solid edge backrower.

Agree dont let him go and make him play. if he dogs it on the field it will show just how low a character he is.
It will send a loud and clear message to everyone in the NRL that he is not professional and that his actions are petulant and unreliable and that you cannot rely on him when the chips are down.

I would keep him and not allow him to play for the year. He sits out much like Bennett did with Tallis all those years ago.

Or get rid of him but we want x amount of dollars and this player

Yep, absolutely. Make him face the NRL music in front of the world instead of taking his bat and ball and running off to Parra.

The 3 years 3 million is a flat out lie I can guarantee that. Hisnoffer was in the 700k per season range

Hooper wouldn't be inflating figures would he…?

Maybe Tank was just wrong…again?

Are we talking about OUR offer to him, or PARRA's offer to him
The 3 million ( according to the report that I read )was the 3 mill +, that Parra offered If so, how can we be know for sure how much They offered

agree with the sentiment but has he got the maturity to put in for his remaining time with this team ?
will he be good to have around the other players…..
remember - hes a LADD .....
im not sure what the answer is.
maybe drop him to reggies ala Bennet stylee ! that might at least be a bit if a wake up call.

players asking for immediate releases to play elsewhere never sits right....

as for Tedessco and woods...
roosters and the dogs is all that keeps been mentioned.
hope not for the clubs sake, but at the same time - a complete cleanse of all this crap might be the best thing for the club
board / ceo included

I think the smart move is to let him go immediately. He will play like a busted anyway if forced.

This frees up 500K that we can use to prepay Woods and Tedesco hopefully getting them to re-sign immediately.

Jordan Rankin and Little John to carry the role.

I would love to articulate what I think of Moses in detail but I don't want a permanent ban from the forum. :sign:

If he wants to go, let him go, this gives us a chance to experiment with the halves. We are coming dead last, hanging on to him won't do us any favours.

I would be looking at Mitchell Cornish who had an absolute blinder last week

10 total runs, 173 total metres, two try-assists, three line-break-assists, one tackle-break, one offload, one try, one goal.

Sign him for the rest of this season with a year in our favour. It is his last chance and will be looking to make the most out of it. Brooks and Cornish played together for NSW u'20s.

Another option is Connor Watson from the Roosters but I am not sure they would be keen on releasing him.

Why would we put this year to waste and start re-building next year when we have a chance to do it now?

I had a lot of time for moses, but if what has been told is correct, he has lost me and I think most tigers supporters will give him the bird at the next game. what a grub to want to jump ship 5 weeks into the season. not sure which is the best way to go with him.
1) why pay him for the rest of the season when we could use the money to get a back rower.
2) then again put him in ron massey cup on the bench and let his skills root.
3) what to do is the million dollar question.

I think he'll probably end up playing good footy. Ive said it before, he only turned his form around last year once he had taken up the option for a further year. Its clear to me he plays his best footy with a settled future. Its a pity that grub of an uncle he calls his manager, isn't as interested in doing the right thing by his nephew as he is too interested in lining his own pockets.

I think we can all agree that it was likely that one of Moses or Brooks was inevitably not make it to 2017 with the Tigers. So cest la vie.
But the circumstances of Moses now requesting for release is not cool. He should play in reserves now for all I care.

Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, the main thing is we re-sign Tedesco. Pretty much everyone else is expendable.

But, if we don't re-sign Tedesco then all hell will break loose.

Yeah that's gotta be a joke. I wouldn't let Rankin carry the oranges!

I get the feeling we will get Brooks as reported but not confirmed, and may be Woods but sadly I think Teddy will end up at the Chooks and I really do not care where Moses ends up. A month ago if you told me we were about to loose our 6 and 1 I would have been really angry, now I am more happy that we have Cleary and I have great confidence he will get us 17 competitive players by round one next year.

Stick him on the wing in reggies

Bugger that, put him at hooker and make the beggar take on some traffic.

That would be very unfair to Marshall-King who busts his butt every time he runs out for the ISP team..

Send him to Balmain A Grade…
