He is off to Manly, with Green released as well.

Apparently the timing is just coincidental

I'm told it's not the done deal it might appear to be… Nothing is certain at this stage.

To manly?

Maybe his dad has asked him to consider tigers

Not certain he will go to Manly. Apparently Sharks were a possibility, then Manly. It could still happen but nothing is certain .

I'd suggest we're long odds…

This whole scenario is just so bleeding obvious. I don't know why they pussyfoot around, playing games in the media and when Green gets released to go to the Warriors and Pearce signs with Manly everyone will be like 'oh wow, didn't know that was gonna happen!' - yeah right!

I’d have Pearce in a heartbeat. Gives us a quality half now with good depth as an alternative when needed.

We're one of the last clubs he would consider.

Yes we are, and considering we're maxxed out for halves as well…but Id love him here too

Sharks have plenty of room left in the cap…

I don't want him. His disrespect towards our club to me means we shouldn't even consider him.

I look at it this way Earl , if he disrespects our club at least he knows our faults

If by the 10000-1 chance he came at least he knows what he is in for

It'll be Manly though , Green to Warriors

The rich get richer , the poor don't get the picture , the guns never hit you til your down so low

Going to be a few years before we have a marquee player signing on the dotted line, said it a million times, the so called top players are lured to a club for more than money.

what did he say?

Cherry had a big year in 2017 having Green next to him contributed to his success will he enjoy the same success this year of will it Pearce him off.

Woow, not saying that we should have a crack at Pearce .. but we must be spending way too much money on players, as look at the clubs who are saying they could fit him in their cap:

Manly - Cronulla - Melbourne - Brisbane - and the only one i can believe, Newcastle

Probably why when those windows of opportunities arrive for a premiership (2010-2012) that we grab them with both hands Ink or at least make a GF )

Not in the race - again.

Never in the race mate, yet Newcastle always manage to be. Perhaps we should've won the wooden spoon 3 years running - seems to be an attractant to marquee players :unamused:

I wouldn't have thought it necessary for WTs to bid? If we chased anybody young Adam Doueili would have been my pick based on his versatility and talent.

Newcastle have a lazy 1.5 million that they MUST use to make them fit in the cap regulations

That why every player coming up is being linked to them , someone will finally want them to "show me the money"

Knights may have $1.5m left in their cap, but aren't they still about 8 players short of the full compliment of 30 that they require?

Last thing they need is a Cronk-like player and 7 more reserve graders.
