We r not the only ones

Every other single fan online is also hating how protected LM is

My thought on it is, that they r trying to not induce anything to harsh to avoid throwing themselves into hot water because of the whole BLM movement happening around the world atm....

Just My take on it....

If that was the case why did BJ get 4 weeks?

idk maybe because Latrell is more indigenous and the face of the NRL?

Gee we dodged a bullet not signing that grub Mitchell . Think the roooters seen something and that’s why they punted him . He is trouble .

Mitchell, Matterson

You play a more attacking style of football I believe the referees are more likely to rule in your favour. Something we need to examine with recruitment especially fast backs.

Putting aside some much needed pace, particularly now with a good though reasonably pedestrian fullback, we definitely need to throw more motion and some earlier width at our opponents for mine.

As to the suspensions, I thought they got them about right, but ten in the bin for Mitchell was also warranted.

Nothing like a bit of subjective bias

LOL So NRL says Reynolds deserved it.

I think the MRC should give themselves an uppercut.

Peter V'Landys should sack the whole incompetent lot of them.

They are pathetic and that is the only consistent thing about them.

Doesn't make any sense at all.

NRL made it clear, you can't punch or attack blokes no matter what. Lots of good reasons to punch an opponent in the head during a match, but all of them are now illegal, doesn't matter how much provocation came into it.

If provocation is now a defence, you could get off for smashing Josh Reynolds in the head every week, because he's a grub who winds people up.

Imagine I punched a bloke in the head, the cops come around and ask me why I did it. I say "because he accidentally knocked my mate over". Cops do not then say "no worries then, ample provocation".

Leilua could feel his blood boiling on the field after his brother, Luciano, was taken from the field following a high tackle.

‘‘I knew it was coming, but when I did what I did I kind of blank out,’’ he said. ‘‘It just happens. I was angry that they took Macca [Sam McIntyre] out earlier in the game and then when my brother got hit, I didn’t hold back. My immediate thought was that if that was a high-profile player, a Cam Smith [being hit high], there would have been action. Instead we lose players and nothing happens.

Thanks for sharing Lauren. That was a good read. It’s great to hear Joey calling out the bias that we’ve been discussing on here.

Ah but, if it's Mitchell dishing it out, it's extenuating circumstances. It's not his fault, he was provoked.

This time last week media was still giving it to BJ and the WT. Now not a word about Mitchell says it all right there

Cody Walker - 2 weeks for a flying kick on a civilian.
Latrell - 2 weeks for a swinging arm (closed fist) hit from behind.
Joey - 4 weeks for being a WWE fan a kid.

Joey & Latrell - Both careles hits resulting from defending a team mate = same suspension.

Codey on the other hand gets involved in a street dispute and that kick could have resulted in a serious injury.. Mix alcohol/fight/hard surface and your asking for trouble.

NRL judiciary system is a joke.

Word on street is WestsTigers have formally asked NRL for ‘please explain’ over difference in Latrell/BJ penalties ...

And what will happen....nothing. Peter V might be seen as superman for getting the NRL going again, introducing some new rules and introducing one ref....but the bottom line nothing has changed, the same sides are getting screwed and the playing field is a steep climb for some and a fast downhill sprint for others

Or a corollary 'if your team is of a lower importance, we instruct the refs that they apply discriminatory rules.'

How bad must the Raiders feel? Shafted in the Grand Final by a '6 again' call that that was given and then retracted, and now to rub it in, the NRL introduces a '6 again' rule where several times each game the ref will signal '6 again' at their discretion.

In relation to the NRL judiciary saying since the act was provoked then it's not as bad and hence not punished as severely, it looks like these rules are being made up in retrospect on the fly, and is just another example of how biased the league is. Like they make the decision they want and then try to justify how it fits in the existing rules afterwards.

With this appearing so, what really puzzles me, is how the betting agencies are okay with this. With decisions and results being influenced and they having millions of dollars at stake, surely they would be more observant of these biased decisions and how it affects them. I can only assume that they are privy to some of the back door arrangements, for how else would they put up with it and run at a loss?

So if Joey had immediately belted Api after the hit on his brother, then there would be next to no suspension.

I guess timing determines the intent!
What a joke.
