Moltzen staying at Concord

i dont want him at the tigers

It's not really about you want, it's about what Moltzen wants. People can be happy about it or be disappointed but either way he's on board for next year and when he's fit and in form he's an asset and that's the main thing.

Congratulations Weststigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally those clowns at the Dragqueens have egg on their faces.
The Dragqueens have no case too seek legal damages!!!!!!
If anything they have a case too answer to the NRL!!!!
I so hate the "dragqueens & their pathetic supporters!!!!!

WESTS TIGERS STATEMENT REGARDING TIM MOLTZEN
Wests Tigers
3/11/2011 5:17:09 PM
The St George-Illawarra Club has advised that they will not be pursuing the registration by the NRL of their contract with Tim Moltzen.
>
Wests Tigers is pleased that this matter has now been resolved and that Tim Moltzen can begin to focus solely on his footballing commitments for season 2012.
>
The Club has acted in good faith and in line with all NRL rules. Furthermore we have co-operated fully with the Salary Cap Auditor and complied with all requests during the investigation of this matter.
>
Chief Executive Stephen Humphreys said that he is pleased that the matter has now drawn to a close.
>
**“Whilst the statement released by the Dragons today includes certain inaccuracies, we do not see any merit in publicly debating these items.**
>
“We understand that the Dragons are feeling disappointed and disadvantaged but it only serves to reinforce the value of following the generally accepted protocols and procedures that apply in such situations.”

Interesting…

Interesting…

Humphreys in a clear points decision over Doust on this one.

hey smoking gun do u think they will re sign tim moltzen and beau ryan same time becauce i read a couple of months ago his going to re sign with the club to.

Thank god its OVER! Tim just needs to put this behind him and play his guts out for us.

Shoulder injury does sound like a bit of face saving from Doust. He might have an injury, but what footy player doesn't?

The big question is, will players signing a contract and then pulling out be known as "pulling a Moltzen"?

Dragons statement 3.30.14pm, Tigers statement 5.17.09pm - WT taking their time as usual

I think that there are only 2 parties that have acted unproffesionally throughout this debacle - and neither of them are the Tigers or Moltzen.

Firstly, the Dragons. The way they announced Moltzen's signing was very unprofessional, without looking over the finer details of the contract and ensuring there were no loop holes and following through on all paperwork regarding releases that needed to be signed. Instead, they gloated, rushed the announcement and come out with egg on their face.

Secondly, the way Tauber conducted himself was not professional at all. He was overseas when the news broke that Moltzen wanted to stay and once he was up to date and the Tigers, Dragons and NRL were holding meetings, he jetted off overseas again. Unless he was told he wasn't needed then this gives him a poor public image, in my opinion. I also feel that Moltzen would only be making decisions and signing contracts based on the info Tauber gave him and I feel that when relaying info between Moltzen, the Tigers and Dragons that he may have gotten a little "mixed up" to say the least.

I'm only basing my opinion on what I've seen and heard thus far and may change my stance as more details surface, but this us how I see it now.

On a side note, it was good to see the Tigers management follow this to to end and get the goods. We have shown the NRL world we can stand on our own two feet, not get pushed around and will stand up for what we want off the field as well.

Its called ''returning serve''
While I dont agree with what Humprhries has done at times, he plays this game pretty damned good

Is their any truth to the rumour that Moltzen actually hurt his shoulder signing the contract with the Saints
\
\
Well Tim now your here we expect you to show the back end of 2011 form and you to continue to improve from that form

I'm glad he is staying and I can't wait for Tim to star next year and then read on the forum the positive comments from the 'Moltzen haters' out there saying how good he is and glad we kept him.
GO THE TIGERS!!

i wonder if it would be different if Adam Blair did the same thing to the Tigers

Hard thing to imagine given Blair wasn't contracted to Storm for 2012.

Moltzen isn't the first player to sign and then want to stay. In recent years Luke Lewis/Inglis/Elford/Turner have all supposedly agreed to terms and then backed out.

Not to mention the numerous other players and coaches who sign for 4/5 years and never see it out.

I don't think its great to see players do what Moltzen did. But I think we have to put it all in perspective, contracts have been a joke for a long time now.

this is why NRL is kind of amateurish compared to other sporting organisations

Really couldn't be bothered one way or another. The success of 2012 won't be built around Moltzen. I hope he plays fullback and we keep Robert Lui at half.
