Agreed. It was the same for the Raiders with Carney. One club takes action only for another to benefit. It hardly encourages clubs to release players to be seen to be doing something to curb the behaviour, when somebody else goes and snaps the player up particularly when the player is a capable player in a position that is hard to fill. It kind of seems like the real punishment is being dished out to the "former"club, not the player.
