Moltzen Staying Or Going

UNCONFIRMED rumour, repeat, UNCONFIRMED rumour …...

Heard a few whispers last week, and then another whisper on radio today that The Tigers may have sounded out the chances of Tim Moltzen staying.

Yes, I know a contract of 3 years was signed with the dragons.
Yes, I know it is very unlikely.

As a fan, I think it would be awesome if i really did happen. But again, unlikely. Stranger things have happened though.

But interesting all the same. Any comments?

Yep heard it too on the radio, he signed a contract and should stick to it. Given his late form IMO I would like him back. But it's not going to happen.

i wish he didnt sign that contract with illawarra, especially now that lui might be leaving

I was wondering how long it would take for this story to come out.

It's funny how so many people wanted him to go, but have since changed their views on the back of some good games. I hope he honours his commitment to the St George TBH

Me too.

i don't think st george will let him get out of the contract, especially given his form in the latter part of the year…they would be mad to, but again, stranger things have happened.

I think a few people are looking at the Lui situation and putting two and two together, unfortnately I think they are coming up 5!

There's no way the Dragons will let him change his mind given Boyd's move to the Knights.

What happened when Luke Lewis and Shane Elford got out of their contracts? How did the clubs they signed for allow this to happen and why? Could the same be happening here perhaps?

Good point, Samuelcon, but that kind of thing is not real ethical, imo. I think he should honour his newly signed contract - Saints would be spewing if he reneged on it now.

Anyway, if he stayed with us, he would be playing fullback and we would still need a half.

Why go and play somewhere that you don't want to? Why would a club want a player that doesn't really want to play with them? If given the chance he should stay where he is happiest.
