whats the answer hybrid…miller, Chisholm,moltzen,
I honestly don't know mate. But I think it's pretty clear that Moltzen isn't the answer.
From what I have seen of Miller in the 20s he is a very talented player. Highly rated for a reason. Is a natural halfback, good kicking game, intelligent passer, you can see he has a football brain. He hasn't been given much of a chance in FG and when he has he has been shunted and not given the freedom to play his natural game.
As for Chisholm, I can'r really comment as I haven't seen much of him at all. From what I have heard though, he may be another off the cuff style player like Benji. If this is true then he isn't what we need. But I don't know.
As everybody knows, you need a 1, 6, 7, 9 to win a comp and we dont have it at the moment. Our 1 is injured and there is massive question marks on our 7\. In 2005 our 1, 6, 7 and 9 played every game except one (correct me if I'm wrong). They stayed fit and there were no injuries to these players. We have already lost our fullback and you can just see that that position is going to be musical chairs this year.
Anyway, if Miller or Chisholm aren't the answer, then we need to get the money left by Lote and Ellis and throw it all on DCE or Cronk. A spine of Tedesco/Marshall/Cronk or DCE/Farah would be one of the best in the game. We'd have less money to spend elsewhere, but we already have the basis of a great side with most importantly, all the key positions covered.
The argument that because of Farah and Marshall being so dominant we just need someone who can provide a foil for Benji is absolute nonsense IMO. This just puts more pressure on both Robbie and Benji to come up with the big plays all the time, which they can't always do.
We saw it when Prince left, we saw it with Morris at half. Only Lui has provided it post-Prince and he took a while to develop it. We are seeing it again now with Moltzen.
