Moltzen's fullback hopes given a boost

moltzen topic is getting boring …. and who would want him ... any team that needs a number 7 .....moltz is getting picked out of position so until that stops nothing will change ....

Like many others, Moltzen was a better player when he debuted for WT than what he is now. His coaching and development has been poor.

Josh Davis for example would kill it there at left centre. He is so much a better player than Moltzen its a joke.

With Lote back next week, Brown to centre and Lote outside him for me.

It is not certain that Lote will be back next week… I know that is off the subject but dont be surprised if he is out a little longer

T4E If you read back on my comments I was talking about Fulton not Moltzen ,if you are going to quote me at least get it right

Browns try showed the value of a centre with size running outside in lines and just manning up.

Even if Lote is not back Ryan deserves the wing spot and after I really thought Fulton showed what he could offer as a utility tonight so I just don't see a place for Tim at the moment in the 17.

Plus I think him playing halfback or pivot week in week out in the reggies will only be good for the team in terms of his confidence and ability to step up if required through injury or real form slump in the halves.

To be honest I had the same problem with Moltzen as a footballer before his injury.

For mine he lacks the physical courage to be a good first grade footballer. Might seem a harsh thing to say, however I have seen many situations where he just doesn't want to get himself into a position where he might get smashed.

To go with all that his actual form is terrible and he should be playing state cup for the next 6 weeks.

My point was looking at utility value at this very moment 1 is much more influential than the other . That could change quite easily Time will tell

He is a confidence player, who playing without any. He needs the team to be firing to bring all his skills out and at present the team is playing busted. Lui isnt going any better, do you give Tim a go at no7 and give Lui some bench time. On tonight's effort I would be pointing the bone at the whole team and not individuals

For mine I would be putting Moltzen at half in the NSW cup side. Sheens has made what I think is the right decision that Lui is the better half and barring injury I can't see Moltzen playing 7 again this year ( even if Lui was injured I personally would play Miller at 7).

Moltzen just isn't a good enough centre or fullback at NRL level and his best position is in the halves. I have a strong feeling he won't be at the tigers next year.

I think he is definitely being played out of position. He is not a centre, he doesn't work as well in confined spaces on the flanks, he is better in mid field with room to move which is why he has such a terrific record playing at half-back.

Unfortunately for him, Halfback has just about been secured by Lui, who has been a shining light in an uninspiring outfit. Five-Eight is obviously taken by Benji and Fullback has just about been wrapped up by Mckinnon who has been OUTSTANDING at the back and as an attacking weapon.

Is it just me or does he get heaps angry at the other players when they make mistakes (Lui's awful tackle attempt last night), even if they are poor mistakes you pat them on the back to keep their confidence up!

Yeah saw that Swanny But I don't think it was personal . If you are a fair dinkum you never want a point put on you . At least he was showing some passion I guess.

Yeh thats true.

he was shocking last night..i really like him but hes the same as beau ryan for me atm..has potential but seriously lacking confidence..moltzen to nsw cup..find some form build some confidence

Moltzen at centre is not the answer. He was rubbish last night. Missed 5 tackles and offered nothing in attack.

Not good enough on 2011's form to justify a spot in the 17.

Back to State Cup and then hopefully allow to go to Souths or Cronulla in 2012.

Lui and Miller are better options are half back.

Brown to centre when Lote returns

and this video proves it:

People here seem to have very short memories
Moltz is champion player who should be named at halfback

Yes he is talented and I couldn't wait to see him play this year, but he has done very little this year to earn his spot in the 13.I feel his best position is a Craig wing style 17
