Trade him in for a block of cheese

[This word has been automatically removed] or Cheers cheese?

A block of "mongrel" cheese would be handy .. !!

Packer is a packet of "Mongrel" Marshmallows

Decides to stay on for two years and now wants out before even returning to us.

He needs to be held onto in case JTJ or BJ get injured.

Disappointed to hear this on many fronts
Firstly,he sacrificied his NRL slot with us at our benefit to join Storm...he did US a favor.
Secondly ,he did better than ok..Bellamy said he wld have been in the run on side for the finals if he hadnt been injured,so hes obviously got some talent.I can think of any other WT player who wld make Storm run on side btw
Lastly, given the above,I cant see why he wldnt be one of the first centres picked....no-one has any idea whether JTJ is gonna make it(including himself),and Joey L may or may not turn up just like his entire career
U wonder why players arent loyal to WTs..we show no loyalty or comittment to them

If the Jet and JLo are fit n healthy they're our starting pair, it's that simple.
Not the most reliable 2 players so Momo could probably see a fair bit of gametime but there's no way he's getting a spot in front of them unless he's improved out of sight.

I can't see him getting a starting gig at any NRL club, he'll have to wait for his opportunity just like everyone else

He literally played 10 games for the premiers last year before he got injured to be fair...

I remember the committment shown by a slow centre (first name Shane) who played in Wests tigers 2005 grand final and did a magnificent job in the GF and throughout the 2005 season. Speed isn't the only criteria for a centre. How many games have Wests Tigers lost due to fast/lazy centres making defensive mistakes which have let in tries and cost the team matches which have stopped entry into the final 8?

Can probably count on a suspension or two as well along the way...though I do have high hopes for BJ this year

Spot on.Think Momo cld also handle fullback comfortably, and has played a GF at 6.
Reliable, good defender ,drama free ad kicks goals....and we wanna punt him for a couple of maybes who almost certainly wont be here next year one way or the other
Beginning to understand why we are where we are

In fairness to Momo CB,he did sign on for 2 more years when the swap deal was done with the Storm...then JTJ was signed and that may have changed everything in regards to Momo coming back to a position in the top 17...hence his requests to be released....

A trade to Penrith for Laurie would be a good outcome

Spot on. We get a player we want and let a player who doesn't want to be here, leave. Win / win.

Time to get rid of the just ordinary if we aim to go ahead.

If we do let him go it for no gain it proves that the WTs Management are Soft.

He doesnt wanna be here because hes done the right thing by the club, proven himself in a premiership winning team, and on his return(after a 2 year contract extension) gets told hes gonna be totally shafted for a couple of chronic underperformers, albeit talented...but rarely deliver.
Ask yrself...why have they both been at half a dozen clubs....????
I simply cant believe we make these decisions...coach under pressure IMO.

I can't see how momo and Laurie swap can work. Laurie is still on a development contract meaning not in the top 30 squad and on minimum wage.

A swap for momo would take an extra squad spot and cap $$$$ to for the panthers.

And how many outside backs do the bulldogs want?

I wonder if they would be interested in a Will Hopoate swap? Would be a solid fullback option for us until Laurie arrives, then centre depth going forward. Would be a good result for us I think.

Mate I would even play him on the wing. The guy knows his way to the try line. 14 pies in 19 games. Can kick goals.

If he can't get regular playing time at the Tigers, where exactly does he think he can?

I think we have a few that we should let go.They were pre Hartigan, and i doubt he would have bought them.

Hartigan was probably the guy who chose to let him go from the roosters.

This is a terrible article painting us in a bad light where the real villain here is Penrith - they won’t give a kid on a development contract a chance at first grade at another club.

Benji was great 15 years ago as well. The game has changes a little since 2005
