That's how it works. Annesley is a cardboard cut out set up to take the fall when things go belly up, only to be replaced by some other hapless patsy. V'Landy's will always get the credit and come out of it smelling of roses.

I think he certainly highlighted the case where it would work and where it wouldn't. The evidence will determine the direction.

What encourages me is that the ref didn’t appear to ask a question and a lot of time passed where the bunker was trying to communicate something. I suspect he is telling the ref to check for the escort which won’t be a good look for the NRL. Refs should be completely impartial in that environment.

At best the bunker audio will reveal a biased Klein searching for opportunities, which other than discrediting his integrity,wont lead WTs anywhere

If they have nothing to hide, surely Peter V would have demanded it's release to WT without delay to improve their integrity... what's left of it.

Think that's the issue...Kleins over enthusiasm to find fault with WTs is going to look very biased..he may be untenable going forward

I thought the bunker was in the refs ear straight away. Is Klein the only person in the bunker? If so he could have told the ref not to end the game and refer to him, so he could award a penalty. If he is the only person in the bunker, surely that’s open to corruption. The audio would be interesting to hear

Annesley said Chad Townsend challenged immediately, as soon as there was contact, and the bunker was confirming to the ref that they still had a challenge left. He said they are talking in the ref's ears all match.
