Selfless Saints-bound Mbye helps Tigers
By AAP Newswire

It came as a frank Mbye on Tuesday made a stand for embattled coach Michael Maguire and confirmed he wanted to help him free up cap space by moving on.

"I've been around the game long enough to understand that how it works," Mbye said.

**"You don't want to be a burden on the club.**

Admirable of him to admit to his under-performance, however, whether he had stayed or we pay part of his salary next year and he goes, one thing won't change - he will still be a burden on the WT.

Never thought of it like this…thanks for tilting my perspective!

His attitude makes me sick

He gave up a long time ago when he first said "WTs haven't got value from me"

A pro with a shred of integrity wouldn't even think this let alone utter it publicly... Work harder... Keep working harder and then work even more harder... Don't just come out with a pissweak excuse that gives you an out until you find another gig

Too many today had his attitude... Walking, the other guy can do it.... It's fine when it's easy but when it all gets too hard

I'm just about done

Pathetic, pea hearted pretending losers

This just sums up my thoughts clearly.
I read it as if I wrote it myself.

Can cut out Mbyes name and add Nofo, Brooks, anyone's really and it still rings true.

Yep, he’s a major problem and setting a bad example for the young blokes. Can’t wait to see the back of him.

Don’t agree. He was not good. Unfortunately the majority were worse.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone actually stop with the try line in sight not once but twice in all of my time watching Rugby League..

Mbye today.

22 runs for 14 post contact metres........14?
How is that even possible? It's all about self preservation for him.
50% tackle efficiency.
2 handling errors.
2 penalties.

And this was one of his best games.

Worst player ever.

My dead grandmother could have run through that hole.

This is a bit hard on Mbye. When there are 8-9 players in our side that wouldn't be able to make the run on side with any other team next year, even if Mbye had the game of his life it wouldn't have made a jack of difference.

He wasn't great but he had more of a dig than a lot of our blokes today to be honest...

As much as I hate Mbye I’ve got to agree that he did put his body on the line several times today but lacks ability ..

His best game in a long time.
However still not good enough.

Unlucky Dragons.

His attitude is shit

Oh I'm sorry you signed me as a marquee player but I can't live up to that

Rugby league is attitude

it is kinda funny isn't it, like his admission is literally saying that he wasn't good enough for his money and he knows it. it's refreshing but also pretty much admitting that he knows he's not that good at footy at the same time.

this is far from the first time I have seen him have a total airswipe when he had a try right in front of him. I am sure it's happened at least half a dozen times. It's one of the things about him that bothers me. He has no confidence.
