Moses' miss

I love Moses' presence, he seems to be always there at the crucial moment doing his best - I always get back to thinking "what can't he do?" (except one or two goalkicking yesterday but other days brilliant). If he goes I may go as well.

He certaiy isnt kicking as well as i expected him to. I have pushed his barrell for a while now as a goal kicker, but im starting to doubt he we get the consistency required. Jack Littlejohn has been working hard on his kicking, could there be a possibility of a double change, Brooks State cup, Liitlejohn in and taking the goal kicking?

Don't all wingers
Left side hasn't had enough ball
Because Simona is getting smashed
Has that been published
Debatable
That's debatable also
You don't like the guy demps do you
He's scored a couple hasn't he

nah, he's a disgrace to the jersey mate.
not a fan at all.
worst signing since Anasta.

You're off your head.

There's been plenty worse than Rankin. He's not a winger but he's far from a terrible player. He'd fare a tonne better in the halves or fullback.

You're kidding aren't you? Did you see that pathetic attempted tackle on Luke Lewis when teddy was off and rankin was fullback…. Rankin is pathetic and is holding out JAC, remember Keith lulia held out marika, look what happened there, it's going to be the same result cos JT is a peanut and won't replace him

Didn't get to see much of last nights game, so I'm basing that on the first four games. Will reserve judgement until I watch all of last nights effort.

I know it's only hindsight but the miss at 20-18 was a little crucial….maybe it's time for another kick off with Rankin

It's a tough one isn't it. I'd like to see how Mitchell goes next week. If he kicks well no probs but if not then make the change. Jordan certainly looks like he can kick well, his kick-offs have good height and depth but then again there's a little more pressure in kicking for goal.

I was seated directly behind the try and I think you're being very hard on him. Jordan was placed in a difficult situation, adjusting to the positional efforts a fullback has to make. Jordan didn't anticipate it well, he was watching Barba sweeping and Bird & Holmes out wide, as most of us would, he can't be blamed for that. So he left himself with little time to adjust when confronted with Lewis getting through the line. Fullback is a specialist position and those kind of things come with time.

- runs sideways
- no impact in attack
- no one wants to pass it to him
- players have no faith in him
- isn't a good fit for the team
- weak defender
- looks weak in general
- poor finisher

What do you think of him otherwise Demps?

I'm sure he's a great guy but a first grade rugby league player (in any position) - he is defo not.

Also in regards to this topic - wasn't Rankin going to be GK as Moses had a groin issue?
Might still be playing up, but Rankin doesn't deserve to be in the top 17.

Maybe right with the statement of Moses and Brooks playing together. You would think that playing together for so long their anticipation would be good - and it is. The question is - who is running the team? This needs to be very clear to the point of tatooing it on their foreheads. Is it Moses, is it Brooks, how much say is Robbie having and is he stuffing it up. Moses was good in the Warriors game on his own, was just as good with Brooks against Manly. From memory wasn't bad in the Titans game even though we lost. In the Parramatta game they both were ordinary with Robbie and again yesterday with Robbie. Not saying it is the fault of any individual but it needs to be sorted if the this is the problem. If it is Moses that is running the team (and it should be), then if the other two do not comply they should be under threat of being dropped.

If it is just a case of Brooks going backwards and trying to take the playmakers roll off Moses, he needs to be replaced by Littlejohn until he gets it together in State cup or signs with someone else if that is his wish.

Moses is not a player to take a backward step from anybody - I think he could become one of the games greatest players personally. Therefore he needs to demand the ball off the other two when HE wants it, and quickly - not when they decide to give it to him. If he just goes along with it as it is now, it is going to make him look bad, it is also making the team look bad and especially the outside backs.

Who knows? but that whole area needs to be sorted quickly.

Back on topic - how much pressure can you put on a 21 year old?
I think Moses is a real good goal kicker but I think Rankin should be taking them.

Russell, full on bro, your understanding of the game is much deeper than mine. I don't know whether Moses is up to it yet but he is certainly getting somewhere. I love when he gives a gobful back to the big guys. i just hope him and Farah can compliment each other, they should be able to for the best result. But you have omitted any captain input into the equation? Now don't you take a backwards step from a topic - haha

Apparently all through junior football and the lower grades, Moses was the playmaker and the dominant half - he needs to continue this. It is ok to play with your mates; it maybe fun but it is a business. So business first and then let's have some fun. I am sure Teddy will score more tries off Moses than Brooks, so he would be cool with Moses running the ship. If Moses gets the ball quickly the outside backs will benefit greatly as they did in games 1 and 2.

If the forwards go forward of course and Lovett becomes the waterboy.

Prefer to see Littlejohn replacing Brooks until he gets it together.

I think that Moses is a brilliant player but he needs to work on his goal kicking. During the warmup he took three shots at goal from right in front and one hit the post. He then stopped practicing as though that was a good enough. I don't know how much he works on this during the week but he needs to get his eye in or give the job to someone else. He certainly has the ability as was shown by the great conversion from touch but consistency evades him.

He seems to be in Marshall's class as a goal kicker. Will nail one from the sideline every now and then, but overall average.

If Teddy does make Origin, I wonder if they'd consider putting Moses back to fullback, especially considering we have decent cover for the halves.
