We're yet to lose anyone who we have wanted to keep. You could argue JAC, but we only lost him because we showed no initial interest to keep him, and by the time we did it was too late. That's what you want from your club.

Lets see where we are in 6 months. We haven't re-signed any of our big guns yet and honestly most players we have signed probably weren't flush wish options. Suli obviously had a few options and we had to pay pretty big dollars to keep him.

We are at that point where it seems like things may be on the improve but we have to give it time to see results. If we lose 2 of our big guns then the sky will be falling again.

Its all about the big four (or big 3 according to most). To me the jury is still out on our management. If they deliver the re signing of in order of importance Tedesco, Moses, woods and brooks then lets organise a fan day for the management team. If we dont re sign them than back to square 1.

Relax the WT will sign the players out of the 4 they want

Its stressing me out but i hope your right. It would be good to lock up one or two of them before season starts.

I don't understand why Pascoe feels the need to tell everyone what a kid who hasn't played first grade gets signed for. Justin your main job is to re-sign Tedesco don't worry about anyone else. Sign him and the rest will follow.

I suspect because once the papers reported it, he felt that the Tigers needed to make a statement.

Or, perhaps he wanted to talk up player retention to encourage other players to stick with a "club on the up and up".

The new management team emphasised the need for the club to build its foundation on the development of its junior base. Suli is a highly sought after junior who has emerged from our juniors and is an example of the success of this policy so why wouldn't WT management want to publicise this success? Also the big 4 (and this campaign against Brooks is a disgrace) are all products of our development system! Again it highlights the WT Management have it right in this regard,

I'm glad a kid with Suli's potential didn't end up a rival club. After all the trouble we have had in the centres over the last few years. He is the type of centre we need, big and strong with skills.
Judging buy the amount of interest from many top clubs it's Good to see our junior system still producing. Particularly with Balmain's financial troubles.

Quality 3 and 4s are as rare as rocking horse ,,, To buy one on the open market for four years will cost you around 700g a season if you can convince them to come to our club. So the way I see it, its a risk worth taking and as for the cost, its market value. Will he make the next step remains to be seen, but I think it is going to be a lot easier now Brooks and Moses are a year older.

Anyway if nothing else it show why we are shopping players around

189cm and 106kgs is a pretty handy asset to have coming through considering most 3/4's in the juniors end up on the Wing at NRL Level. Hope he is Centre with the Fijian Sidestep!

I think Israel Falou was of similar mould when he burst onto the scene as an 18yr old.

How many top line backs want to sign with us? Not many, if any, not many, if any…

Even if there is one, we have to pay overs to get quality players because we're not a successful club on the field. Or they're coming back from injuries and we're willing to give them a crack. That's the way it goes.

Or we grow our own and try to keep them. Which we have done here. He's one of our most sort-after juniors ever. And we kept him.

Yay!

I've assumed Tiger Torch was Mark O'Neil ??

Seemed to stop posting around the time.

From the way he/she talked, they were not as close to the decision making process as the General Manager would be.

I was of the understanding that the posts ceased when Tiger Torch was dobbed in / identified on the forum by Tigers management and kiboshed.
