Moses Suli

While the rookie has a playing weight of 110 kilos, it is believed he recently weighed in at a whopping 130 kilos which has contributed to the club’s decision to release him.

thats why they got rid of him.. owen craigie. haha

Wow, we've released Suli due to poor attitude or off field indiscretions. That's a hige call on one of the most talented rookies going around. Particularly considering the state of our backline!

We had better have a replacement lined up already!

Another hugely promising junior gone :frowning:

Yes another hugely talented Junior obviously not putting in , he has been thrown OFF the bus and good riddance I want a team that all players put IN!!!I want success no more privileged class! At last the club not tolerating this type of behaviour well done!

We might still be paying 250k of his contract, so significantly less to sign someone else. Also which clubs are stupid enough to release good players at this stage of the season unless they have major cap dramas.

If he misses 12 games with his ankle injury, I will be very suspicious.

Hmm we wouldnt paythat much. maybe a 100k. no point giving another team help.

Geez. I was hopeful he would be the weapon we required out wide. He has a tonne of talent.

I figure he just isn't training or taking care of himself.

We really need to be ready to sign some quality players this year. Surely we have some money in the till now.

**So under the same management he has gone from a young superstar worth a $1m + contract over a few years to being someone not worth keeping.**
We better not be paying 1 cent of his contract at the dogs (maybe that is how it is under cap). If he goes on to be a very good player I think that the board need to have a look at Pascoe's future.

Guess Masters is a lock in for a centre position, with wingers Nofa and either Kev, MWZ, or Fonua and that is also about all the outside back options. So much for the depth we supposedly had.

We signed him (without even a full game in the 20's behind him) for $1.3 million over three years …. a year later punted after having at least showed some of the hype was justified.
Was signed by Taylor, maybe Cleary doesn't rate him as highly - or he's been a very naughty boy.
From what I've seen and heard from him that would seem unlike him, but you never know.
Anyway - $400,000 odd now available for someone else.

Heard he came back from the break at 120kg and was not putting in during rehab…..that 120kg frame wouldn't be helping his injury from recovery...good on the club for taking a stance on poor attitudes...we have learnt from the poor attitudes (that we allowed) of the past players...

Not sure why we would be looking at Pascoe for this. Should we give Pascoe a medal for offloading Mitchell Moses also!

This just seems the way Cleary roles. He won't take no crap from an overpaid kid with potential.

https://www.nrl.com/news/2018/01/31/moses-suli-released-by-wests-tigers-to-sign-with-canterbury-bulldogs/

The talented 19-year-old, who represented Tonga in the Pacific Test against Fiji last May, stands at 189cm and his playing weight is around 110kg but it is believed he recently tipped the scales around the 125kg mark, which left Wests Tigers officials far from impressed.

What the hell happened here. Firstly how is it possible for the bulldogs to fit him in. Secondly why are we releasing one of our most promising juniors who is contracted.

Could this be some of the money we are using to get RTS and Cleary?

No….nothing to do with money and everything to do with attitude....

Just hope we are not subsidizing his Bulldogs contract for the next 3 years!

I just read the article, definitely an attitude problem. Money must have went to his head.

Well I think it is an idiotic decision if it is based purely on his weight and attitude.
Saw enough of him last year to see what he is capable of and dont need Cleary or any one else to alter my mind about that.
Filthy about this decision and of course the Dogs didnt hesitate.

I was wondering why Marsters is being grooked as a centre. Now we know.

Commitment was always going to be the hurdle with Suli. Heard early on at SG Ball level he was as lazy as you can get. I was hoping he would mature, oh well. Next.
