Movie thread

Saw I am Number 4 today. Not a bad movie, not as cheesy as I thought, but I put that largely down to the Director D.J Caruso who directed Eagle Eye and Disturbia.

Battle Los Angeles looks good but I can't see how mankind is going to win that one. The preview shows us copping an absolute pounding by the invading aliens.

The yanks will come up with some theory that no-one else in the world is smart enough to think of and save the world…ala the dumbest film ever - independance day.
 
Saw Sanctum last night. Not in 3D which it can be seen in. Was solid I thought. Great cinematography makes you feel you are in there with them. Was let down by something, not too sure. Acting wasn't bad but wasn't a stand-out either.

I AM NUMBER 4 is a pretty good movie!

Watched Animal Kingdom last light.

Very good film but The Boys has it pegged

It was not as good as I anticipated - very little character development in the brothers aside from "Pope"!!!

The Boys is far richer in that aspect!!
 
The Boys is just menace on film. Stuck with me for days when I first saw it at the cinema. Wendhams career took off after that performance.

Oh and having The Necks do the soundtrack was genius

I heard they named a pizza after it - mega supreme cliche with extra cheese!
 
First time I saw ID4 I was actually in Tulsa on holidays with family. During the Bill Pullman/Paxton Presidential rallying speech people were applauding and hooting getting all amped up in the theatre. I was laughing my backside off and was asked to leave by the ushers
