I reckon it is unfair when people compare Bane to The Joker.

Joker was an unstable, psychopathic, nutcase whereas Bane was more real. You could see where he was coming from to a point and one scene with him almost made you feel sorry for him. That said he was as menacing as hell. I agree Willow, Hathaway and Gorden-Levitt were excellent but it was Bale who was the standout for me. He owned this movie just as he did in Batman Begins.

Without giving it away, what did you think of the ending?

Yeah I liked the background on Bane, after seeing how he came to be who he was in the end. Scary dude though, you wouldn't argue with him!

I liked the ending, it wasn't as cliche as I thought it was going to be after the way the final act played out. Christopher Nolan must be commended for his direction and storytelling in this trilogy.

Hopefully Nolan Makes the new superman movie ' Man of Steel ' to the level of his batman trilogy.. Seeing the Dark knight rises tomorrow. Cannot wait

Nolan is producing the reboot of Superman, there is a brief trailer for it at the start of the Dark Knight Rises. The reboot is directed by Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen). The tone of that film also looked quite serious though.

Yeh I saw it barely showed anything.
The Dark Knight Rises lived up to expectations with a twist that I didn't see happening at all!

gotta agree with that, not Tom Hardy's fault but the way the mask muffled his voice so much so that I couldn't understand whole sentences sometimes. Regardless of that I thought his voice acting was fantastic, sounded powerful and hilarious at the same time. One of my new favourite actors after Warrior, Inception and now TDKR

Have you seen him in a film called Bronson? Not the best flick but he is unreal in it.

I finally got around to watching 'Dead Man's Shoes' yesterday. Circa 2004? Great hard flick if you love the revenge movies with an awesome twist.

Also been getting into the Korean films of late. They make great action revenge stories. 'The Man form Nowhere' and 'I Saw the Devil' are just fantastic.

perfect way to describe that movie haha loved his portrayal but the movie bored me to death. Think he's probably the most underrated actor in Hollywood

Love them Reyre. Great to see the bad guy "get his" :smiling_imp: The killer in I Saw The Devil is the bloke from Old Boy. Have you seen that one?

Yeah it is different…but in a good way i think. Some things were hard to hear but overall I didnt have many problems.

It was cool how his voice was accentuated in surround sound. When he first spoke I felt like he was sitting in the seat behind me.

Sure have mate, Min-sik Choi is a legend. Oldboy is up there with the best ive seen from Korea, the other 2 in the vengeance trilogy arent as good, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance is probably the next best just below Oldboy. Ive waited a long time to see a film as good as Oldboy, ive just discovered this flick, ill try and watch it this week and comment on it. Ive been told its the next closest thing to Oldboy to have come out in a long time so ill give it a watch and find out if thats true. Its called ' Confessions' from 2010\. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1590089/

Korea (also Japan, Thailand, Indonesia for that matter) make awesome films that go under the radar in most western countries, could be because most people dont want to read when they watch a film but by far and away there are some huge treasures out there that people are missing because they just stick to the usual action or romcoms that 'hollycrap' pump out everyday. Anyone out there got some titles for other fellow foreign film lovers out there, list them here.

Saw "The Campaign" with Will Ferrell and Zach Galifikas last night with my girlfriend.

Don't think I've been more disappointed with a comedy movie ever. I'd been waiting forever for these two to show in a film together as I personally can't get passed Step Brothers and The Hangover as my two favourite comedies. But this film was a real let down.

It had a few funny moments but overall wasn't hilarious. Maybe I was expecting too much from them in this film.

Would love to hear anyone else who has seen the movies opinion.

Oh and everyone, if you haven't seen Contraband, see it…I gave it a rap previous in the forum but watched it again the other night. Awesome awesome movie!!!

Freelancers 7.5/10

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1815708/

Plot: The son of a slain NYPD officer joins the force, where he falls in with his father's former partner and a team of rogue cops

You can ignore that 3.7 rating on imdb. Plenty of action & bad ass characters in this movie..
If you enjoy movies like 'Training Day' & 'Narc' then this is right up your alley.
Forest Whitaker & 50cent played there roles well, De Niro also solid.

For those interested in some upcoming movies:

Saw The Bourne Legacy yesterday. Pretty decent flick I thought. Solid acting, all the main cast do a good job and the pacing is also pretty good, although not as hectic as the Bourne Supremacy, it's probably similar to the first Bourne film in regards to pacing.

How is it without Damon willow? I always find movies with a replacement actor in a trilogy/series strange and distracting for a while. Did you get that "doesn't feel right" feel.
