Moving WT to Campbelltown

You keep going on about my edited post. I was asking you the same exact question. And as for your ''facts'', well the figures you posted, the majority of times LO was higher it was by a few hundred (fact), illustrating that figures overall have been virtually similar the whole time

Overall attendance figures for both grounds since 2000

LO - Overall - 837668 Average - 13296

Ctown - Overall - 798810 Average - 12680

Now these figures aren't to dissimilar. And while I grant you LO has the higher numbers (not that i ever disputed it) it proves my point that the figures aren't too far apart and criticism Ctown gets in comparison to LO is unwarranted. Seems as though you have been ignorant of a few facts yourself.

.

And little does he realise in all his efforts to promote Leichhardt and belittle Campbelltown is the fact Leichhardt always gets the well attended sunday games and Campbelltown gets the crappy saturday night games.Pretty sure with the difference only being a few hundred that Campbelltown would lead EVERY YEAR if this was reversed so Cambo had sunday games. Also Cambo always seems to get lumped with out of Sydney teams where Leichhardt(with its central location I will add)gets sydney teams aswell as out of towners.Given Leichhardt's central location there can be no denying that a lot more away supporters attend these games so if your talking pure Wests tigers fans attending RIGHT NOW cambo has DEFINITELY won every year. Not crapping on Leichhardt but just putting to bed very quickly the whackos grandiose bashing of cambo and Leichhardt Wankfest.

Jerry, Jerry, Jerry …

Adding fuel to a futile argument is not wise, especially when your 'facts' are anything but that.

There were **NO** Sunday afternoon games at Leichhardt in 2013, absolutely none, and they played Parra, Nth Qld, Melbourne, and New Zealand.

This year they played against Manly, Gold Coast, Penrith, Easts (moved from ANZ due to double booking), and Cronulla. Hardly teams that would be classified as crowd-pullers in anyone's books.

All the big home games are reserved for ANZ, and its been the case for a long time now.

With so much positivity surrounding the club this last week or two, how about everyone put it back in their pants and stop the pissing contest. So much more important things to concentrate on.

This thread is another example of why we should play all games at ANZ.

Not necessarily Hybrid

I'm happy for Mayer to come out at the start of the season and say it the way it really is

If you don't support Leichhardt or CSS you will lose games to ANZ

Make the fans accountable for their choices

How hard is that

If you want to keep your allotted games at your preferred choice of ground you have to get out and support your team by actually showing up

Who gives a rats what the local councils or anyone else say

Bulldoze Leichhardt and turn it into a market garden for the local trendsetters …
Bulldoze Campbelltown and turn it into low cost units for the locals ... & play EVERY game at ANZ . It's a win/win for everyone !!!

I feel we bulldoze Leichhardt we have a lot of upset people but the Wests Tigers move on we bulldoze Cambo we lose half our fanbase(re campbelltowns distance from homebush/Leichhardt and the growth of campbelltown in next 25 years etc etc)

Abraham Abraham Abraham Abraham Abraham Umm cambos four games this year was Canberra,Melbourne,Brisbane and North Queensland NOT ONE SYDNEY TEAM whilst Leichhardts 5 games HAD 4 SYDNEY TEAMS :crazy .Whilst Manly and Easts dont draw well they do have a loyal 3000 to 5000 that would attend Leichhardt games How many Raider and storm fans attend Cambo games probably 150 raider fans and 25-50 storm fans. The away fans count for attendance too you know. There is a lot of positivity around the club at the moment and this conversation can be viewed as positive as long as facts are supplied and not facts(minus definite accountable reasons).Every year there is debate over this stadium situation and quite frankly 3 stadiums is too much and while we are making so many positive changes I would hope in the next 12 to 24 months we can see a definite announcement regarding 1 or 2 stadiums. My preference in the future(acknowledging sydneys westward trend and Campbelltowns growth would be 6 ANZ and 6 Cambo).I would say 95% of former Balmain supporters live west of the Gladesville Bridge therefore they live closer to Homebush than Leichhardt anyhow.Part of me doesnt want to lose Leichhardt but can a club be successfully sustainable with 3 home grounds.Hmm not sure.Everyone who wants to keep LEeichhardt needs to ask themselves this question…Is Leichhardt my choice cause its better for me or better for the Wests Tigers?

The weather at Leichardt for last two years has poured down for all those games except the Parra game 2013, and the Penrith game 2014 - I know that cause I was at all of them bar the Roosters Sat night game - which again, was pouring with rain. The Manly game was well attended - over 16,000 in the rain - when we were winning. By the time the Roosters game came around we were shot ducks - rain and crowds don't gel if you are losing. Where ever we end up playing the fans will return when we are winning simple as that. The beauty of ANZ is that financially it is beneficial to the club and surely we cant continue to ignore that for much longer.

And thanks for your contribution,
Some people just can't help going over the same old crap.
We go over and over it, and come up with the same result every time.
You can argue till you blue in the face but the results will remain the same, there is no significant difference in crowd attendance between our spiritual home ground and CCS.
As I said GNR wins on a "TKO".
Lke it or not !

You couldn't help yourself you Hammer head  your a Wests man that's why you been quiet . The stats i presented supports my argument he wanted facts and FT has come up with it being 1000 people more don't matter , trying to twist the argument when Stats don't lie .
People have there opinion great !!! Campbelltown is a wasted area that the Tigers have lost to other code's from bad Management , look at the Wanderer's they have great number's win lose or draw and wouldn't be surprised if many of them are very disillusioned Tiger's supporters that would rather have a Wanderer's membership as suppose to a Tiger's one

Anyhow this stadium debate can go on forever pulling out finite degrees of reasons for and against Cambo and Leichhardt.I agree re ANZ but if we ditch Cambo all together I feel we lose a lot of supporters. Its only about a fifteen minute drive from Leichhardt to ANZ I say scrap Leichhardt but still be based at either Homebush or somewhere east of homebush due to my reasons posted yesterday re Players wishes on where to live.6 ANZ and 6 Cambo is the future in my opinion.

And you quite clearly am a Balmain man who is refusing to acknowledge change and embracing the future.Im former Leichhardt myself but Anz and Cambo are the future. Its for the betterment of Wests Tigers.I soooo dont want to start some Balmain/Wests thing but this stadium thing does still seem to be the last great bastion for the fossils I feel.

So why Cambo ? cause your a Magpie ? Get rid of Cambo, people hate travelling all the way out to woop woop . ANZ is the future that is where we make most our money.

besides the best juniors come from Keebra Park anyway so not a great deal is lost playing at Cambo .
i was trying to see where the article is where i read that Mayer quoted that Crowds under 14,000 being Leichardt or Cambo are running our Club at a loss , so ANZ is our Future for all games , It's a no brainer.
