Dear Mr Sheens ,

You were right , we were wrong !
We bagged you constantly about playing a back of the bench .
Now we have a coach that introduced a bizzare concept called "Taylor Ball"….and a coach that said .."it's not about the results ".

You provided us with the 'Halcyon ' days Mr Sheens ... You took us to the final series three times Mr Sheens , including the ever elusive title win .
We are sorry Mr Sheens ...
Please comeback !

Forever in our hearts
Yours faithfully

Speak for yourself Hobbo - we already have a coach signed for 2017.

Actually, no one is signed.
As I understand it we hold an option on Taylor.
To use him and the word 'coach' in the same sentence is obviously a stretch for plenty of people - including me.

He isn't the worst around.
I'd even prefer him to Laurie Daley who is a myth of a coach.
I'd still prefer Taylor than Sheens though.

Funny how no one in the media has mentioned this. Not even the media that has an agenda against Taylor and the club.

The grass is always greener on the other side. Stop blaming the coach for the team's overall lack of ability. It 's not the coach's fault it is the fault of the shonky administrators the club had circa 2009 - 2014\. We are still way behind the eight because of their dastardly dealings.

Ahh how I miss Sheens and the skilful footy that was..

As for those who emphasise the negatives of Sheens to imply the moving on of Sheens was was based on the the cons outweighing pros.. I say what has anyone else done for Balmain and magpies post 91 combined with WT 2000 up until 2016? The truth is nothing.,

1)People complain that Sheens only made the finals 3/10, though in those 10 years how many regular state of origan players did we have?

2)We won 2005 with kids
3)We made the final 4 in 2010 with Lui as half back for Christ sakes, 50 year olds on the wing.. Players like ayshford, Moltzen and that bloke who went to the Bulldogs can't remember is name.. Pretty much blokes who struggle to get a game at other clubs
4)And by God we played some amazing footy win draw or lose..
5) how close and unlucky have we been?

We really over achieved with Sheens, and yes I see the logic in moving him on, But please give some credit when due and no one at joint has done better yet..

No Mr Sheens is not the answer….in fact if we could cut off the last 3 years of his contract we would be in better shape.
He's the reason we have a cancer of softness rearing its ugly head every now and then right throughout the club. Sheens' tenure created plenty of attacking flair but less steely grit.
By not having a dominant halfback post Scott Prince made us use Benji out of position, but also made Robbie Farah maybe overplay his hand a tad at times.
So I reiterate a No for the return of Sheens, however if Taylor has another unsuccessful season next year that we sign a seasoned coach and not a rookie.

I think Sheens is a big reason Marshall and Farah have ended up the way they are. For too long he let them have free reign and gave them too much control and as a result neither of them matured.
