So this is official?

don't think so.

Im under the impression that it has been confirmed

This week's RLW magazine reports he signed a 2 year deal and Mullaney's manager is quoted as saying he hopes the Eels keep Hayne at 5/8.

That's all very well but its hard to see Parra choosing him ahead of Luke Burt unless something changes.

The only thing that concerns me is the guy wasn't given a shot! Whether he would of made a go of it or not no one will know ..All the best Jake at the eels!

Unfortunately for Jake the tigers had a few better options ahead of him…and he was unlucky not to be given a shot when those players were injured.
Although staying on at the tigers would have been his best opportunity to sucure an opportunity with currently no certain fullback in the squad and parra having burt and likely hayne back to FB next year. good luck though i hope a few parra boys can strain some hammys so he can get a shot.

Wid all the probs we had at f/b this year, surely he should have had at least one shot at it.

He is better than all of them by far.

I guess we'll see next year when he lines up for Parra…There were big wraps on Jake in 2008/9...but those wraps for whatever reason failed to materialise into a FG call-up, even given our obvious lack of a FB and the injuries to McKfumbles....I hope he goes well at Parramatta but I feel he will suffer the same destiny as Shannon McDonnell and Shannon Gallant....

Yeah Parras spine is likely looking as

1\. Hayne
6\. Roberts
7\. Sandow
9\. Maitua (sp?)

That spine isn't going to make top 8 in 2012 in my opinion Smeg

maybe that wont be the spine - but with sandow in the team parra should be in the 8\. They've had some bad luck this year, lost 2 golden points 2 weeks in a row. Sandow is the x factor. pity he's a queenslander. just what nsw needs. i think parra will be there.

IMO I reckon Mullaney is just shy of the NRL (but can see why others would disagree he is a talented footballer), I said earlier in this thread, he surprised me how well he did in NYC where he was a definite stand out, and he may well prove to be a good NRL player with the eels or someone else, I hope he does go well, he was one of my favourites in the NYC.

I would have been happy to see him given a shot in the NRL at fullback this year, but by the same token am not dirty he didn't, I believe that Moltzen is a better footballer, plenty will disagree and can see the value of selecting the experienced McKinnon as well. You cant pick everyone
