I think he needs to be dropped. I can't work out if he's the main problem, Noffa or Moses, but if I was a coach of another team I'd be sending my players down that side every opportunity.

We are a shambles out there. I do tend to think its more Naiqama coming in and forcing Noffa to come in also, but Noffa sure does have issues defending out there.

A change is needed just to see if the same happens with another centre on our right side. Put Chee Kam or even Healeta in there for a couple of weeks and see if there is any improvement.

Strange one
His defensive reads combined with Nofo are rubbish BUT only close to the line

He does a lot of other good work, in Attack, line breaks and one and one tackles he is really good with further up the field

Issue seems to be defending 10-15 away from the Goal line

You can always bet lefty on him jamming in and rushing the play only to have the pass pushed early, not lock up the pill or as we've seen a couple of times.

Christ, he's even rushed it, missed his target completely and gone sprinting through the line on a couple of occasions. It's hilarious when it doesn't cost us a try.

Between the pair of them they're terrible defensively and are costing a lot of points. It's ridiculous to keep picking them together on that edge. I think Kev is the main culprit so I'd try out someone like MCK on that side and see how Nofo goes with a new centre. If Nofo continues to make poor reads then he probably needs to get punted back to NSW Cup to figure out his reads as well.

If Kev gets sent back with the goal of improving on his defensive reads and executing better goal line defence then he can force his way back in.

Not sure why JT refuses to use first grade selection as a motivational tool for improvement in players, it's pretty basic coaching methodology…

Even blind Freddy can see how many points and trys get put on us in the Kevvy-Nofo corner

Everyone except JT and the Kidwell i reckon

When something is broken its easier to fix
To tweak something to perfection is harder.

My opinion is to put someone like CL closer to these 2

There was one point the Chooks did a shift from right to left. They didn't get it out wide, but I saw the last defender, then 30m of empty space then Nofo somewhere in the middle. I was looking everywhere for Kev, where the hell was he….

If you can see the overlap developing, and you don't think you can contain them on the outside, sometimes there's nothing for it but to rush in and hit them early. Shame Kev often gets the read wrong, and when he does hit fails to contain the offload. Still it's easy for me to say what he should have done from the stands.

The bad reads are one thing - but simple numbering up has also been a problem for us for at least two seasons. Maybe they can't count!
We are short virtually always - do the forwards bunch up too much worried about defense up the middle and that drags everyone in too far? Is it our defensive structure perhaps? Maybe because we don't use a sliding defense we can't seem to cover any team that spreads the ball with a simple draw and pass. We certainly allow the ball to be played too quickly by not winning the tackle and we often wait for the attack to come to us rather then move up in a line quickly (never any real line speed) to cut the attack off. In at least 2 tries by the Roosters Kev didn't even touch anyone - got nothing, completely missed the air even.
At this point we really should be wondering what our defensive coach is actually doing!

It's almost laughable now, he doesn't get dropped he's just allowed to make the same mistakes every week. Teams are targeting that side as part of their game plan now, we need to stop the rot and send him back to reggies until he learns to read the defence a lot better.

I'd be dropping him for sure. Needs to work on his defensive reads in a big way. Not sure what the team do regarding defence at training, but out on the field some of the misses are ordinary, and Frozone is the main instigator.

I like him because his attack is good and when he hits he makes the tackle. His defensive reads though are terrible. Maybe he has to go back to reserves for a while.

There's only one game plan used by teams against the tigers and thats to target Nofo and Kev.

Any side that hasn't done so or hasn't seen the entrée to the try line needs to get a new coach.

Love to see the stats of where tries are scored against us obviously JT hasn't seen them either.

Despite this thread being on Kevin and how bad he has been in Defense i still blame Nofo equally

The issues have been between the two and not just from one bloke
Slightly unfair to single Kevvy out

When this pairing is hot and scoring tries their mistakes are masked otherwise obvious for all to see
