Nathan Cleary

I can't see it happening unfortunately. And if it did it's just as likely to be at another club…
Nathan Cleary to sign with Melbourne, Bellamy to retire and be replaced by Ivan.

Wow where did that come from?

Nowhere. Not saying I have heard it anywhere or it will happen.
Just that it's one of the many possible outcomes.

To be honest i think it will either be here or at Penrith. He will stay at penrith if Gus absolutely blows us out of the water with a multi-million dollar deal. If he came to us we would have to offer alot but the Father-Son will only bring him here not anywhere else.

There's no surf in Melbourne and too many thespians. I think the Cleary’s would prefer life on the Northern Beaches and playing for an awesome club like the Tigers

He’s leaving, take that to the bank. Griffin is poison. The Roosters are going to have a big say.

As if they haven't spoken lmao…

Well they can't admit it, but I would be surprised and disappointed if they haven't

I know they can't admit it, but surely the journalist is insulting their own, the Cleary's, and the readers collective intelligence by even asking the question knowing full well they'll deny it.

It's an appropriate article I think - let's just not talk about the topic anymore until it can officially be talked about.

You and I both know that will not be the case, they will canvass them constantly until it is or isn't done.

Wait until the anti-tampering period lapses.

think its a done deal at the rooters, he will take there total to again four players on
one millions per season, with cooper gone. just cant compete with the cheats.

It’s win-win for Ivan. Either he signs the game future premier halfback, or his son gets offered millions of dollars to play for the Roosters. He can’t lose.

How I see it unfolding too

The good old roosters and the no cap troubles to worry about, would be great for Nathan to knock back the roosters and sign for us, would also put us in a better position to sign other good players

Nathan wants to follow his dad. He hero worships his dad who donated a kidney to his brother last year. We finally have a wonderful leader of culture at west tigers! Let's not screw this up!

When you're talking at least a million a year, what is an extra 100 or 200k, over the chance to build something special with your dad. Imagine how sweet a gf win would be to share with your old man. Not to mention how revered that moment would be in rugby league history. Akin to the johns brothers.

As long as Ivan sticks with us and we give Nathan a competitive offer, I think that dream of achieving something really special will win the day. He's going to be rich, no matter which way he goes.

I think he’s s big chance of being out of Penrith at the end of the year.

N.C
“I’m more than happy there and I think everyone’s pretty happy."

I think right GNR. This line didn't sound that convincing. Even using the word "there" to refer to the club doesn't make him sound too attached to Penrith.

Look at the list of players who have left that club mid contract over the last couple of years. Jennings, Gordon, Lewis, Moylan, Cartwright etc. Up there with us in roster incompetence.

Griffin is poison, wouldn't be surprised if Cleary wants out early either.

Moylan, Cartwright and peachy next to leave the panthers. Hopefully it's all down hill for them. Also whispers Mansour wants out too. Not a good look on the coach or club admin imo.

Ivan is contracted here to the end of 2020, Nathan is off contract at the end of 2019, so they are not off contract at the same time, if we play our cards right it will all work out, I hope so anyway.

Yeah that's the thing.
If/when the Tigers offer him a contract it's going to be a lot of money too, surely over $1M a season.
