That actually makes it worse.

No one is saying it is good, but it didn't make or break the game for us... On the plus side we might see what Josh Hoffman has got also

It is Reece Hoffman not Josh

Thanks for that... wasn't really thinking

Great words from a real fighter. Problem is it was his stupid fifth tackle pass that changed the game. This stuff needs to be eradicated from our play. We are getting tougher, stiffer defense and more fluid attack. The thing that does not seem to have changed is our ability to beat ourselves with dumb plays and unforced errors.

Why so negative on JR? We're looking a 10 times better team since he's been starting. One pass doesn't change a game.

Mate I like what he is bringing but that play was just plain stupid. Early 2nd half, in the lead, needing to get momentum going again. The smart play was a deep kick into the corner. Win the game in the 80th minute mentality. But he throws a crazy pass leading to a panic play. They score next set and never look back.
I think he’s a better option than Marshall and he’s my 6 next week. But it was a pivotal moment imo.

I know, I know....but we're looking good with him there. I guess I'm just taking the ( more ) good with the ( less ) bad

Yeah I’m with you. He’s our best 6 atm. As has been said many times throughout his career, I’d love him to get the madness out of his game. But that’s him hey?

I'm still not convinced that he is

I am seeing a shift in attitude that I've ever not seen from this club for a long time, if ever. This interview with Reynolds after the game was great. There's a different culture being created, and I'm buying it.

I would be giving Benji another go to see if he has improved the areas he was asked to work on. Josh is awkward in attack, as is Doueihi and having them both in the side makes our attack a little disjointed in my opinion.

Doueihi stops and starts a little when running to the line but his footwork at the line is really great which is why he is always pushing through the defensive line. Josh is just a little erratic and his passing isn't strong enough, so our backline looks a little disjointed.

Disagree with some of the criticism of the ref. In some ways we bossed him around. We slowed the game down a bunch for the first 60 with players resting, some legit and some questionable. He allowed us to do it.

You would be joking. You are "Geeing us up."

Sure we bossed him around so much he gave us all the favorable calls.

Give me a break.

Just got home. I like the fact that we are in the fight and I’m glad we muscle up. All good. But until we stop making unforced errors and play with discipline we’ll always be middle runners. Their first try came from a dropped ball by Garner. Their second came after a stupid play by Reynolds where the smart option would have been to kick deep not throw a speculator across field.
This game was there for us but we didn’t stay composed.

What was the fans like regarding the Reffering tonight

I'm guessing it wasn't u ivan was blowing kisses at..?

A lot of booing. People were getting manic but really our mistakes cost us - not reffing. Geez we got so many 6 again calls in the first half.

As for Ivan- he’s a turd

Think you are partially wrong Steve.

Some of "OUR mistakes" were not ours, they were "Referee mistakes"

The first shot on Garner by Kikau was not a knock-on and the Mansour PTB should have been a penalty to us. Just a couple of examples from the many available.

cant disagree more Joey is what we have needed for a decade. I dont condone what he did but the passion and aggression mean we arent walk overs anymore.

That type of ill discipline makes our club look like thugs. That is not the image I want for our club. Time for Joey to do a long stint on the sideline until he learns to control his emotions.

Paws I have to disagree, look at the history of our club. I can't remember the number of times I've come on here and people say that they just want the players to look like they care. Our mindset has made us minnows.

I'm not saying Joey's way leads to a premiership in the short term, but I think if you are going to come 9th every year then you have the wrong image as a club. Madge and even LL will be stuck into him and he should have a few weeks to reflect on that.

My thoughts are that twice he would have gone into touch if he was any other centre in our history. When you perennially come 9th you have to cop the downside to buy the change in ability.

I strongly disagree. Stuart got rid of him because his stupidity costs in big games as it did tonight. The effort put in by our team is overshadowed by this buffoon. Our Captain failed the leadership test by not taking him off and moving Garner into the centres. I cannot forgive that poor leadership.

What ? The captain doesn’t control the interchange dude . What are you on about ? All he can do is try and settle him down . It’s not Mbyes fault that Joey closelined a guy without the ball.
Seriously ? It’s not cricket.

What, when you have a player losing it and the captain cannot get a message to Maguire to get him off? I'm sorry but what we witnessed tonight is unacceptable behaviour and the captain should have taken the necessary action to get him off. That is why he is Captain.

Wouldn't think that has happened in the history of the game.

I wouldn't give a "bumper" for Mbye as a captain but blaming for that is ridiculous.

It’s not the captain job to hook players. When that does happen I would expect a bottom 3 ladder position

We've got trainers, captain and coach can communicate.

So you’re critical of Mbye even though he doesn’t have the final say. Haven’t seen the game but it’s rough to blame him. FYI I don’t think he is a great captain but there is isn’t many about

It's called leadership, he should try it sometime. Wasn't the need to protect JL. from himself discussed? He had been booted by Ricky and if we are the club we are striving to be he should be booted Monday. It's all over Channel 9 this morning, exactly what we didn't want. The effort of. our team has been overshadowed by the actions of this buffoon.

Since when do the Wests Tigers as a club take any notice of Channel 9 (there the Buffoons).

You need glasses Paws - Edwards took a dive; when no one took any notice of him, he jumped up and continued on. Should get an Academy Award.

In fact Edwards should have been sent off for over acting.

In two plays he cost us the game through selfish and dumb plays.

Edwards played it smartly which I wish he hadn't as our players deserved to win.

I come from a background where not being a team player can costs lives. Having a wrecking ball demolish your game plan is horrendous and downright unprofessional. No one should be dismissing this as emotion. He is supposedly a professional but or club should have seen this coming and not signed him.

Momirovski on our right instead of BJ would have made a difference. We need to get rid of the non thinkers and the borderliners.

cant disagree more Joey is what we have needed for a decade.

Russell, I am on my way to Spec Savers now.

In two plays he cost us the game through selfish and dumb plays.

Edwards played it smartly which I wish he hadn't as our players deserved to win.

Watching IC's face after the game was hard to take.

Personally Paws i don't think he cost the game at all.

Certainly the Edwards incident didn't - the game had already gone.

gave away the stupid penalty that led to the field goal. brain explosion at the end. He may not have cost us the game but he didn't help us in any way. Also didn't pass to Nofo when he should have (Nofo prob would have scored imo).

I am seeing a shift in attitude that I've ever not seen from this club for a long time, if ever. This interview with Reynolds after the game was great. There's a different culture being created, and I'm buying it.

Yeah great interview, cheers for that.

I never said he favoured us. But he did genuinely allow us to take plenty of time where some refs wouldn't have and where in the past we wouldn't have been smart or bold enough to do it.

Yeah he made some crap calls. I didn't see the Garner knock on either but don't we have a captain's challenge to correct that mistake? Or the nonsense Mansour play the ball call? I saw some people on here saying Douhei didn't take the ball into touch. He did. I saw some people on here saying Api hit Luciano on purpose when that's really quite a stretch. It was those overreactions I'm talking about when I mention the refs.

The ref didn't make BJ decide not to pass when he had the overlap. He didn't make Chee Kam miss the tackle that led to the try. He didn't make Brooks put in two crap grubbers close to the line. He didn't cause Eisenhuth to be offside on a kick chase or make BJ hit a guy for now reason. He didn't lose us the game, the players did and we wouldn't be complaining if we'd won. Simple.

The ref cost us the game with at least 1/2 a dozen shit calls
The game was already over when BJ went pork chop mode .

Yep. So many bad calls.

Nofa getting pulled up for a quick play the ball off the mark, but then was allowed to play the ball a metre & half in front of where he played it originally. Lol!

Reynolds takes a dummy half run, catches Kikau offside, even the commentators said he was clearly offside, and he tackled Reynolds on his own.

The Garner knock on where they scored 6 points straight after.

The stripping penalty when the boys were trying to drag Crichton into touch.

There were so many. But this was the same ref we had to challenge his tackle count in the game against the Sharks.

We made some dumb errors agreed
But some of the refs calls were deadset momentum killers

The supposed Garner knock on..

Kikau not being called square at marker when he tackled BJ

Penrith decoy runner taking out one of our defenders ( penalty all day )

Kikau’s 2 high shots not going punished
Etc....

Kirosau’s dog shot on Lucy which has gone unpunished and killed of that set

All piss poor decisions which are massive momentum changers

AND I didn't say we didn't lose the game because of the Ref - but he didn't do us any favours. Just one six again or a penalty under the new rules can lose you momentum for 10-15 minutes and it is very difficult to get it back. That sort of thing can lose you the game.
