New coach = new (C) or (C)'s??

Just wondering if whoever takes over would contemplate giving the captaincy to another player or players….Farah and someone else sharing the duties as some clubs do, or someone totally new

You'd think it'd be unlikely to happen....but who knows?

Maybe the new bloke would like Robbie to just focus on his game without the added responsibilty of the (C)

However, if I did consider another player, I'd be tempted to give it Fulton. He strikes me as captaincy material, a real motivator and has a good footy brain.

Yeah well I would've said Heighno or Ellis as joint captains with Robbie, but alas, they are now goooone. Anasta is a natural and experienced leader, but he'd need some time to settle into a new team. I dunno, I think I would just stick with Robbie as the sole capt for now.

I can't see the captaincy being taken off Robbie, he's done a great job in that role.

But if co-captiancy was up in the air next year I think Lawrence would be a good choice. I wouldn't be opposed to Fulton either.

some said heighington was the heart and soul of the club…. this doesnt neccesarily mean he would have been a good captain. robbie is TOO passionate to be captain... on the field i think he comes across as a whinger.. he isnt strategic or tactical in the way he goes about talking to the refs...

id be looking at someone like woods - he's got all the right attributes. petro like.

this would just support peoples claims he is a whinger. if he was to act like this it just justifies the decision the remove the captaincy - too emotional.

Robbie is our captain, full stop. Benji, Liam and Braith can form a committee of senior executives when needed, but Robbie Rules!

From a symbolic point of view Robbie is the only captain while he is in the team. From a practical point of view we should operate as a council of experienced players rather than a single authoritative figure.

If there were to be one it would have to be in the backs somewhere but all are too young and Benji wouldn't be too happy either. Don't think it's worth it all in all.
I'd like to see Lawrence with it when he returns to form in a few years down the track…

I'd be offended for Robbie if we had co-captains. The way Robbie plays and the way he conducts himself off the paddock is everything you want from your captain and more. I couldn't say the same thing for Benji. It seems when Farah is out Benji doesn't step up and doesn't look interested in the game. The way he carries on in the media as well through the footy show and his paper article each week wouldn't be what I want from my captain. The next in line after Robbie finishes up should be Woods IMO.

If you were to give it to someone else maybe Blair , might be the motivation he needs seeing he would have to lead by example

But Farah has to be first preference , don't like it when Benji is captain , it seems too much for him

Farah will be captain as long as the current contract lasts that was the deal signed on and the captaincy.

Farah is the only choice - there is no-one else even comes close .
All this co - captain stuff is just horse sh*t. You have a captain and a vice captain -that's the way it was and that's the way it should stay.
