New coach.. Who should we target?

Not sure it mentioned already apologies if so.. Telegraph also reporting that madge has turned down the manly job.

Ivan, in the words of King Leonidas from that awesome movie,

'May ye live forever'

Absolute traitor, you can go and get *lost*.

*There Willow, censored myself.

Im going to say this again. I just can not see us getting any compensation from Penrith or Phil Gould.

We will be lucky if they take Ivan on full contract.

I wouldn't be so sure…

All aboard the Wayne train...

Hey im on board. Who needs a bus when you have the Wayne Train

You could even hae a Wayne plane or a Wayne kerr.

I love this. The Fox website has an article with a headline something like Done deal, Ivan to Penrith. But when you read the article it rehashes all the BS about Bennett and says Mcquire still a chance. The last few lines say; in the mean time Ivan is still contacted to the Tigers for the next 2 years, and has to do a good job.

Well that is hideously disappointing from Ivan.

Be the coach that your players want to play under mate.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I wouldn't mind actually hearing from a pot shot from Mitch Moses regarding what was said about honouring contracts.

Telegraph just reported Cleary signed 3 year deal with the Panthers from 2021 season onwards.

He needs to be gone now. If he stays coach here for the next 2 years then we will become the laughing stock of the NRL.

Yes I think his position is now unintenable and it just remains for the Panthers and WT to come to terms and settlement for his immediate release.

Terribly disappointed in the man. I got it very wrong.

Love the putting your hand up attitude M&M.

Oddly, whilst I was pretty sure that Ivan had discussed leaving early on the first Tuesday back in August and absolutely without doubt come statement Saturday, I would have accepted him staying on the back of another media appearance with a reasonable commitment and questioning. Together with management, he has been changing the mindset at the club, so would be disappointing to see it fall short of the final objective, particularly because of the mantra used.

Assuming that he is now basically gone, not too sure on where I stand replacement wise. Could cop Bennett as long as we are not put in a poor cap position at the end of his tenure, though would miss the Q&A sessions and openness that WT recently had.

Nobody should be disappointed.
We get a better coach. Probably the greatest one ever to coach the game.
Cleary is average and I'm tired of being an average team.

I'm excited for 2019 now.

Personally, I think Ivan is a myth and over rated; we are measuring him against the coaches we have had, not the ones we could have. He has done a reasonable job (not great), time to move on.

No matter which way you look at it, Bennett is a big upgrade on Cleary. If this does indeed come off it is a massive coup for the club on multiple levels. And if he brings a couple of Broncos with him…even better.
