New coach.. Who should we target?

Given the way Cleary seems to be conducting himself, I’d have thought Taylor would have looked like a million bucks by comparison. He no doubt had his flaws, but he never threatened to walk out of the club after injecting so much enthusiasm among the supporters.

JT would never walk, no one else would pick him up even if he did, he is being demoted from assistant coach to juniors now at easts

He's actually coaching there ISP fedder side Norths next year…

Really, they said on FOX O'Brien was coming to take his place, and he was going to junior development, either way he was moved on from assistant coach and replaced by a better prospect.

To be fair, he's getting replaced by the fella some want as our head coach.

Succession planning underway at the Roosters. JT moved aside for O'Brien as a future successor to the current coach.

The hypocrisy of people on here. Once again we are getting lectured on what we are allowed or not allowed to believe. Yet that same person is happy to spread his own rumours and post media articles when it suits.

Youre sounding paranoid and exaggerating wildly.
Im simply giving my opinion, im not lecturing anyone, not calling people nut jobs, and Im definitely not spreading rumours

I am excited at the rumours of bennett coming here and what he could bring with him thus relaying media on the topic

Just give the personal stuff a rest eh..we dont need more thread locked.

Love how you didn’t quote yourself at the start of your post. Here let’s remind everyone what you said at the end

"Others buy into the speculation of the media and try to guess along with them how it all pans out while telling us they're good at reading human behaviour"

So okay for you to buy into the speculation but not okay for others. Hypocrisy at its best. Now go away and stop trolling me.

Adam O'Brien said that his move to the Rooster was about his personal development as a coach.

I hated your guy Jason Taylor

Pretty much thought anyone who called him JT was a flog but i do respect the guy for his integrity. He may have been a rubbish coach with second hand ideas and very poor man management but at least he didnt use us a stepping stone.

Ill stick up for Taylor a little more these days.

Just a little.

100% agree , Ivan’s action are worse than anything Taylor did or didn’t do. Doesn’t change the fact he couldn’t coach.

No that's not what I'm really saying. I'm saying this is happening as reported it's just that these denials are all part of the game they are playing.

The media are all over this story because it has legs. Anyone denying that or trying to blame the media for inventing things at this late stage is going to end up with more egg on their faces.

Not denying there is a story in there somewhere. Just tell me which version do you jump on with any confidence. People are writing it and hoping for the best.

I don't think anyone's denying it.
Rather, some will take the clubs and Clearys word until something official is forthcoming from the club…. Others buy into the speculation of the media and try to guess along with them how it all pans out while telling us they're good at reading human behaviour

I'm happy to give this a rest but I'm not going to ignore that.

The reading of the human behavior was in relation to Cleary being gone. As time has proven his heart is out the door already.

I don't need an official club statement to see that. It was obvious.

Going on about that as if myself and other were nut jobs wasn't and still is not needed.

I'll be sure to call you up next time I need to know what's in another person's heart.

You could become a relationship whisperer for all the lonely guys and girls out there.

At the height of the Farah v Taylor affair i did some work for Trents mother. She was a lovely lady and defended Jason as he was a good mate of Trents. He was a friend of the family.

He may have this job at Norths but if they didnt have their friendship he would be at centrelink.

Does anyone else find the Ivan Cleary focus on coaching his son in NRL a little …... umm....strange? How do the rest of the Panthers' players feel (i'm not interested in how Gould feels. His credibility and judgement are shot)? What if they don't become a premiership contender, if they unite at the Panthers? What then? It seems more about accommodating the strong wishes of a father and son than any objective assessment of IC's coaching ability.

Anyone know many test matches England have to end the season? Just wondering as Wayne is still coaching them. May also give us a potential timeline if we are going all in for Wayne.

Come off it!
Why would he get him back into his coaching staff after his first stint if he was so bad?

Why would Trent replace him if he was so good, why hasn't any club tried to sign him since he left us, I am pretty sure I know the answer though, he is no head coach, or assistant coach either apparently.

The Roosters have held off announcing O’Brien’s appointment out of respect to current attack coach Jason Taylor.

The Roosters look set to take over the association with the North Sydney Bears, who are the feeder club for South Sydney, and Robinson is keen for Taylor to oversee that.

“This is his area,” Robinson said. “He’ll be great at it.”

Robinson believes Taylor is a strong development coach and the Bears, who he once captained, are in his sweet spot.

In plain simple English. You look silly when you have a go at people for running with media stories about our coaching saga. Yet it’s okay for you to run with media stories when it suits you. It’s called hypocrisy google it. Just like you googled sarcasm and just like you googled Ryan matterson. Okay don’t go away I’ve always wanted a stalker.

No he's definitely no head coach. But I find it hard to believe that Robinson got him back as assistant coach after we booted him just out of friendship. If Robinson found out he was crap as an assistant first time around he wouldn't have re employed him.

His mum told me….. fair dinkum.
