Wests Tigers are pleased to announce that Adam Hartigan will join the club as the new General Manager of Football, effective immediately.

Hartigan joins Wests Tigers having spent the past five seasons in different roles within the Sydney Roosters' football department — bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe formally welcomed Hartigan to the club.

“On behalf of all at Wests Tigers, I’d like to welcome Adam to the club,” said Pascoe.

“Adam has been heavily involved within rugby league and we see his experience and leadership as a valuable asset to this club moving forward.

“Adam has held a number of different roles in coaching, recruitment and development at an elite level and we’re really excited to have to him bringing his learnings and knowledge to this club.”

A former coaching associate of Paul Green, Hartigan joined the Sydney Roosters in 2014 as the U/20’s Holden Cup Coach before moving in to Football Operations and Recruitment positions in 2015.

He became the club’s Recruitment Manager in 2017 — playing a crucial role in the Roosters’ Premiership-winning season the following year in 2018.

In addition to his coaching accomplishments and experience, Hartigan also holds Bachelor’s Degrees in both Education and Health and Physical Education/Fitness from the Australian College of Physical Education, as well as a Master’s Degree in Education (Coaching) from the University of Sydney.

Roosters recruitment manager, so at least he has a proven record.

He has a lot to sort out here before he can do anything like he did at the Roosters though.

Welcome aboard Adam. Hoping you see goal kicking, pace in the backs and mongrel and size in the forwards as traits that have value.

Roosters don't lose people they don't want to lose

Wish him the best of luck, and hopefully he performs.

Jason Taylor was a premiership winning assistant coach at the roosters and that worked out splendidly.

JT's ceiling is assistant coach, we gave him the head coach job and he delivered exactly what I thought he would. No surprise he hasn't got another head coach job since.

Seriously I think they’d be filthy. He is going to be first class for a long time. One that got away from them but no reason they couldn’t lure him back I suppose
