Plans only, no money. It would be a disaster. Of all the time I have been alive a have never thought for one second that Liverpool is home to the Wests Tigers, Western Suburbs Magpies or the Balmain Tigers. It’s a rubbish idea.

But Moore Park is.

It’s closer to Wests Tigers HQ, Wests Ashfield & any Tigers club that gets developed in Balmain. So yeah.

Its a pretty poor argument that you have never thought of Liverpool as home to Wests Tigers when it is in our catchment but want to play at a stadium outside our area.

Walking past the Giant Roosters logo after losing a home game at Moore Park is a thrill

I suppose sitting on blue and white seats in the Mortimer/ Lamb grandstand in Liverpool is more to many’s liking !

Also having a schooner in the Peter Bullfrog Moore Bar will be fun

At least we will be in Tigers territory, not squatting in Roosters home.

As a Balmain Tigers/Wests Tigers fan of 55 years, a member of 19 years, and a proud resident of Liverpool for the last 35+ years, what the hell gives you the right to pronounce that a potential WT stadium at Liverpool "pleases no one except the apologists"?

Unless you live in the Liverpool/Campbelltown area I don't think you can discuss the extent of the fan base that exists. Much like you Tiger Tragic, I live in the area and the think the split goes a little like this:
1. Tigers
2. Dogs
3. Eels
4. Dragons/Souffs

The club actually does some good work with kids in the area. This area doesn't have rusted on, generations long supporters. Many of them come from overseas and are new to the game. The kids get their mums and dads over the line.

Love the forum but I think it's somewhat dominated by the inner west 'lattes' at times. When you're all six feet under who is going to keep this club alive?

If you look at the train map Liverpool makes the most sense. It's accessible from Macarthur and inner west.

Being located next to a cbd with bars, restaurants, entertainment and business makes sense also.

Liverpool is the most strategic location for Wests Tigers. But just need to get in there and own it before Liverpool.

Yes - I agree we need to go somewhere with modern facilities, otherwise it suggests we are a second rate club. Geographically it would be better to upgrade Campbelltown and play all our games here. In reality this is not going to happen and Wests Campbelltown Leagues Club don't seem overly interested in the football team's future? SFS or the revamped ANZ for me, but please, ONE home ground.

If I was the club I wouldn't be committing long-term to a new deal either. State Govt withdrew $800M funding from ANZ last year and may or may not shift that to other grounds (either a new Bankwest, or boutiques). The only thing for certain is SFS will be finished.

Imagine if we commit to Campbelltown for 5 years then Campbo wins major funding and we have to move for 2 years whilst they knock Campbo down. Or if we withdraw all matches from LO and scupper any possibility of LO receiving funding when their major tenant has moved.

Not really. There will 2 new modern stadiums in sydney shortly. One in the west and one in the east. Pick one. Any thinking LO is getting anything worthwhile done is just dreaming.

To be honest with our current membership numbers I’d just go back to a 6-6 or 4-8 split of Leichhardt and Campbelltown.
If we are forced to move a game to a bigger stadium ie Easter Monday / Anzac then so be it go to ANZ on those occasions.
I don’t see the point of going to ANZ when Leichhardt is a good alternative for the inner west folk especially with our crowd numbers never exceeding the limits.
