Just bought myself a new jersey, not a 2011 one just yet. Picked up a world club challenge jersey off ebay. My collections looking pretty good now    :sign:

How many have you got? No sign of the 2011jersey anywhere yet??

Funny you should ask Cunno, i'm in the process of changing cupboards at the moment and i've got them all out. I now have 58 jerseys from all over the place.
I reckon the 2011 jumpers should be out some time this month or by mid February, but thats just a guess mate. I hope they're out soon

Sounds like an interesting collection Fraze, you say they are from all over the place, which one is the most unusual or from left field?

Amongst my collection I have a fully-official alternate (primarily black) Tigers 2003 Classic-branded jersey from Peter Wynn's - which I was able to purchase without the insidious Radisson-Maine sponsorship marking (as I did not want to support corporate frauds)!!

It still cost the same amount - as it was an official jersey (not just a licensed B&L knock-off) - but I believe it is now impossible to get official jerseys without the corporate branding included!

I think this is a problem when either corporates disgrace themselves (e.g. Firepower etc) - or when you may not want your kids wearing marketing for the likes of XXXX, VB, Star City or Sportsbet!!

I dont think that ethics come into consideration when the deniro is involved redemption. And unfortunately our great game was built around these sponsors in the forms of drinking and gambling  (not that i have a problem with either  )

Brother I am far from a wowser on either (and I am on the alcoholic borderline) - but I hate seeing young kids wearing mobile-billboards for really inappropriate companies!

As for our game being "built" on it - the fact is it was only in the 70s when sponsors got jersey rights and the 80s when replica player jerseys came on to the market for the public!

I know blokes who played a game or two in the 50s, 60s & 70s - but their match jersey was a family heirloom because it was/would never be available for people to just buy!! They remain disgusted at the consumer-driven liberties of the last 25 years!

When I had the choice in 2003 - sponsorship markings were still plastic stick-ons - unlike today when they are fully printed on the fabric! (Every jersey I've had since has all corporate branding without my concern - it was just that Radisson-Maine were fair dinkum low-life crooks who destroyed many people's lives)!!!

I spoke to someone from Peter Wynns Score today and they said they didnt expect the jerseys in before April. Does that seem a little late to anyone else, i thought it was madness to miss the Christmas period but after the season starts i think is poor.

It is very late, I wonder whether the same will apply to all WTs merchandise eg polo shirts, caps etc. I have been at the SCG this week watching the cricket and I have been surprised to see people wearing 2011 members caps for souths. WTs are way behind by the look of it.

I have a mate who has all of his 2011 Roosters stuff, too. It would apear we are way behind.

Point conceded Red, it's just my opinion that they look wrong, and really if the sponsor has done all the right things the club should repay the faith by not releasing sponsor-less jerseys, no matter how marginal the industry is that they belong to (i.e alcohol and gambling.) Like I said though just my opinion, and I get where you're coming from.

Furthermore - the sponsors make their return from players wearing their branding in games on TV - not fans on the street!

In fact if they saw some of the **genetically-challenged sub-human fans wearing them (Parra especially) - they would probably demand the removal of their branding!!!**

I believe parents should have a choice given the nature of some of the sponsors clubs attract!

Souths have banned pokies from their Leaguesy for the supposed good of the community - but want the kids of their supporters advertising Star City on their jerseys in 2011!!!

Top call! I maintain that 99% of Parra's supporter base are either pensioners or fools.

The two that come to mind are the Cumberland Beavers (nice agressive name :laughing🙂 and the Eltham Bats who use batfink as their logo  and maybe the Fairfax eagles from the AMNRL.

Batfink has won me, how hard would it be to be serious playing against a team with batfink on their jersey?? Then again maybe its a smart move on their part…

They could be worse ink. They aren't as bad as the Herbal World jumpers…
I'm hoping that once we play a few games in them (and win a few) that they'll become alot more attractive.

Just in case it hasn't been posted the 2011 jerseys will be available sometime towards the end of February.

Popped into Concord this morning to have a look at some gear and this is what I was told. Rest of the new gear will follow shortly after.

Thanks for the update Spackler. Given the merchandise is late this time round it would have been useful for the club to put out an on-line brochure of what the 2011 gear will look like. I have seen some of the gear on the players in shots on the official site but not the entire range.

Spoke to someone at WT today. Apparently the club is finalising all the sponsorship agreements (should be done in the next couple of weeks) and the jersey will be out after the Foundation Cup.

Spoke to the merchandise van on saturday night and they said the jerseys will be available for pre-order on Monday online but they won't have the back of Jersey sponsor - so it seems like we are still waiting to confirm a major back of jersey sponsor which is dissapointing and I'd rather wait for the exact replica

I noticed tonight on a site call MSI (my sporting icons) that they are selling a WTs replica jersey, it looks like the 2011 design it doesn't have sponsors on it. I didn't go through the process of ordering one so I can't say whether they have them on hand or whether there is a wait.

Both Jerseys???

What did the official store in Concord or Gear Zone in Cambo say????

Ps not three weeks

14 days 11 hours 47 mins and some seconds till our first Monday game.
