Some of the squad are getting full body and face paint of the new jerseys. There are videos and photos on the official Wests Tigers instagram as well as several of the players' personal accounts.

Really nice. Love the magpie on the arm and the simple V plus use of all colours. Hope they just stick with this design for a few years.

One thing we need to do is drop the wests/balmain jerseys as has been displayed in the last two rounds. I get the heritage and I get the nostalgia, but if we are going to move forward as a joint venture we need to move forward. Our kit is one area that keeps the split fresh in peoples minds. We are 1 club. So 1 jersey (Away & Home kits only). We need to strengthen the brand. And having a new kits every second week does nothing but weaken it imo. Something the roosters and dragons have done well for years.

And then there's the whole magpie can of worms to take on.

I could be wrong, but I think our heritage jersey for next year is an early Wests Tigers one. Not sure if we will still have Balmain and Wests ones as well.

Next years heritage jersey is a white, orange/gold and black stipe one.
 
I can live with that DavidDuncan/Milks. But the wests/balmain ones are no longer the Wests Tigers brand. Drop them for good and lets move on as 1 club. As for the board….

Dropping the magpie. It has no purpose there but to add fuel to the flames and drive segregation spkitsville.

We are west tigers. Not west magpies. But there's still a tonne of magpie loyalists who would go apeshit if that was dropped. Don't see why though. It's change time. Was 10 years ago too but it's still on the jersey for reasons unbeknownst to common sense.

How many good brands change their name but keep their old logo? None. Zero. Zilch (that I can think of any way)

There. Said it. Let the arguments begin.

Its not the logo of WT.. its not the mascot of WT.. its part of the 'Wests branding' that is preserved in WT. nobody calls them magpies, nobody thinks they are magpies.. The magpie is a small reminder of the origins of WT.. Just like the Tiger is..

So if the tiny magpie represents the history and tradition of Western Suburbs Magpies and needs to go, does WT then need to ditch playing at Leichhardt Oval because its the Tigers 'spiritual home' and a legacy to the history and tradition of Balmain?

Im a balmain supporter and happy for the Magpie to be on the jersey.

I just wish old Magpie supporters could get over commentators occasionally calling us Balmain.

Just curious…if the club went with Balmain Magpies as its name 10 years ago...would we have a small Tiger on the jersey? Don't think so? I support neither the Magpies or Balmain.
 
Do you need to tattoo your parents names and faces on your arm to remember them? Same principle. Where we play also has nothing to do with our brand either. When we play at anz are we any less of wests tigers than if we play at dairy farmers, leichardt or scg? No. While we keep clinging to the past we can't embrace the future that's all I'm saying.

wow! is that the heritage jersey? it looks amazing. I think putting balmain/magpies in the one jersey and wearing it once, max twice a season is a good idea. Respects our heritage TOGETHER and doesn't over use it every 2nd week.

And the normal jersey is even better, i'm looking forward to 2014\. Cant wait to get my membership
