I think Kupp deserved it. He was unstoppable when the game was on the line, he pretty much played a lone hand in offence at the end with no OBJ to take some of the defensive pressure off him.

On a selfish note was kind of glad Donald didn't get it, saw his MVP price was $14 and had every intention of getting to the TAB to put $20 on him but was too lazy to go down and place the bet on the weekend. Would've kicked myself if he had got it.

Superbowl is not usually the best exhibition of the game.

I listen to podcasts daily, they know how to promote their game.

Longest off season at 7 months is a killer...
 
TBH, I much prefer the NFL to NRL these days. I think I know more NFL players and definitely know more about them. I'm cheering for guys on a whole range of teams. The NRL market a few of the elite but the back stories are what generate interest. How interesting is the Cooper Kupp story, struggling to get a college gig and ending up all time. Josh Allen the same. Kam Chancellor, my favourite player ever. We should know more about guys like Kevin Hastings, exiled from two mighty clubs, finding redemption in the ESL and then.... There's some great stories in the NRL, we should hear more of them, invest in the people...

I think NFL really relies a lot on it being a close game to be interesting. When it is a close finish the way teams run the clock, manage time-outs etc adds a lot to the theatre. Can be quite boring otherwise.
Compared to rugby league where it can still be a pitched physical battle even when the score isn't super close. Rugby league is the more dynamic and unpredictable sport IMO, but V'Landys and his mug mates are trying their best to take most of the unpredictability out of top-flight RL.
 
Rams 100% deserved to win. I was hoping for last drive heroics, but with the adversity they faced in the game they were the better team and played better in the big moments. Felt like Bengals were flat all game. They have been starting that way most games, but usually snap out of it. Not today. Bengals defense kept them in it and did more than enough for the team to win. You let them hang round long enough a final drive like that is going to happen. Bengals Oline was not functional enough unfortunately and Taylor had a bad game playcalling.

Greatest season I've ever seen though. Hopeful we have another good season.

Nrl is very disparate these days and very hard to watch.

My next gen have given the game away which is sad.

That's a shame about your kids giving it away. There would be plenty out there doing the same I reckon with the way the game has been chopped and changed recently.
At its best IMO it is still The Greatest Game Of All👍
