NFL

When I heard we signed tebow my first reaction was, we already have a quarter back who can't pass.

But after talking to some jets fans who know more than I, they seem to think we will play some wildcats, and I think it could really work, we don't have an every down back as it is? So two QBs on the field could work, probably not for too many years, but one sure.

First trial tomorrow against cincinatti, 9am.

I think I'll get madden this year, if anyone plays PS3, I'm Slacko87.

For those Aus based fans seriously subscribe to NFL Game Pass, covers pre season and all regular season games. Got it for the first time last season and so very worth the money.

Bit of a scare V the Steelers in todays pre season hit out with Vick banging his hand up in a fluky play but xrays and scans clear any real damage.

DRC has moved back to the outside CB slot and has hit real form through camp. He and Nnamdi have been pushing man coverage through camp

Eagles have real depth in DL this season, we started about a third string line and the pass rush was still amazing and effective. Harris looks like he may be the guy we have been looking for at SS.

Foles really impressed at QB today as well, outplayed Kafka comprehensively. Still a long way to go.

As for other threats it really is a very open year. Alot of big draft talents. RG3 looks the goods thus far and the Redskins could make a really true race in the East this season. Lions if they can hold their discipline and of course the Broncos, any team with Peyton guiding the ship is a huge threat.

Hate the Jets and Tebow will get shown up so I am happy all around on that deal.

Alot of the usual suspects will be there of course.

Bolters I would call the most likely to be Cardinals if the run with Skelton and sit down Kolb or the Bucs

I don't think they had time last off-season to gel given the lock-out hence why they really under-achieved. How do you think the news about Andy Reid's son will affect them?

Oakland RAIDERS are my team. First game of NFL I saw was them winning a super bowl. They were described as outlaws and dirty mean players with a nasty streak a mile wide.

Andy has always run a close ship and alot of guys want to give him every piece of joy he can this season.

Yeah last season it was all over before they had any time to gel with the lockout.

Alot of big games this season

I don't follow anyone, I'm just an observer of the league. You'd think I'd lose interest but I just love the tactics of the NFL, especially when you have lets say NE vs SF, where you have 2 completely different attacking philosophies going against each other.

Very interested to see how the Broncos, Lions, 49ers and Eagles go. Lions should be able to build on their season last year, they wanned at the back end but hopefully they can do something. Curious how Peyton will pull up, I can see Denver doing surprisingly well. The Eagles, well, curious to see how they react to last year. God they were disappointing.

Also curious how the Tebow/Sanchez rotation goes. Is it just me that finds it REALLY weird that the Jets picked him up?? Sure, Tebow needs, you know, ALOT of work on his game, but he brings something magical that I think a developing team could have used.

Hey Smeg i heard Mike Vick picked up a rib injury against the Pats. Do you know how serious it is?

Scans came back free of any breaks.

His replacement is really warming though

If you have Fox it is actually not that far into the replay on ESPN2

Yeah same here Smeg. Game pass is wonderful! So much more convenient that way. Just don't wanna check the stats column when watching a replay. Learnt that the hard way last season.

Any college football fans? Because I live in Boise obviously I'ma Boise State fan, heart breaking loss for us against Michigan St. There's only 2 teams I think that can win the BCS Championship, that being either Alabama or LSU. Even though USC are the top ranked team in the BCS right now, Alabama and LSU have been there abouts for years but USC have really come out of nowhere. I have a feeling USC have a loss in them where as Alabama and LSU will just be clinical all year. The way Alabama destroyed Michigan last night should make every team nervous to play them.

I watched that Michigan game and the penn State game on the weekend. The tide were blistering in every facet.

Also joined up NFL Fantasy Football this season for the first time in a while for a bit of fun
