NINES TEAM...OFFICIAL

Here's who we're up against…

TITANS: Will Zillman, James Roberts, Anthony Don, David Mead, Josh Hoffman, Brad Tighe, Kalifa Faifai Loa, Aidan Sezer, Daniel Mortimer, Christian Hazard, Kierran Moseley, Ryan James, Mark Ioane, Luke Douglas, Lachlan Burr, Davin Crampton, Dave Taylor, Matt Robinson.
\

WARRIORS: Shaun Johnson (c), Matthew Allwood, Nathan Friend, Ben Henry, Ryan Hoffman, Sebastine Ikahihifo, Solomone Kata, Ngani Laumape, Sam Lisone, Tuimoala Lolohea, Sione Lousi, Simon Mannering, Suaia Matagi, Ben Matulino, Ken Maumalo, Dominique Peyroux, Nathaniel Roache, Bodene Thompson, Sam Tomkins, Chad Townsend, Manu Vatuvei, Jonathan Wright (four to be trimmed from final squad).

2/3 of the team are forwards! Only one playmaker? 2 players with speed?

Warriors could put 100 on us.

JT giving the tournament the middle finger by picking so many average squaddies like Lovett, Luani, Brown, Buchanan etc. 1-2 of those guys max.

Drinkwater to do all the playmaking, passing and kicking? Way to easy to target him. Must be trying to lower the value of our NYC boys by not showcasing them!

I agree with Balmain Boy too many forwards not enough backs and speed because nines is an open field game, Or maybe they just trying to lower the value of some of the NYC boys by not showcasing them, I wouldn't be surprised if the CEO,Coach or Management didn't want any of the other clubs to see or have a sniff of the Up and Coming players in the tigers den, especially some of the players from last years NYC Holden Cup Team the ones with potential, talent and speed not to mention any names, by not showcasing some of the talent these boys may have to offer may eventually push them to join other clubs.

Some massive whinging going on here.

I dont mind the side, i wouldnt have done much different except perhaps swap Buchanan for another half.

In saying that i can see both Lawrence and Luani playing the five eight role

1.Simona
2\. Richards
3\. Akaoula
4\. Naiqama
5\. Lawrence
6\. Drinkwater
7\. Sue
8\. Cherrington
9\. Seumanufangai..

No surprises as far as I am concerned. The fact we are wearing sleeveless jerseys should tell you everything about how we are treating this tournament.

I see this as very very poor attitude.

Attitude is something we have severely lacked in the past, for the club and Taylor to be not giving it everything, not even _**trying to make it look like hes giving it anything**_…how can players be expected to give it their all later in the season when the first hit out of the year weve basically said, "Nup, not interested...dont really wanna play but seeing as we have to...."

well its footy and injuries are an occupational hazard, maybe we should not train, or warm up also…weve seen injuries here

Like having a porsche and not driving it cause it may get a scratch...insane

Good article in whicg Taylor explains why he has picked this side.

Structure. Love it. Also Taylor was interviewed by the Grill team this morning. http://www.triplem.com.au/sydney/shows/grill-team/podcast/. The audio file at the top.

Once again emphasised the importance of structure.

Very interested in his comment about wishing he had another month or two.

Imagine the meltdown if 2 or 3 players went down with season ending injuries.

We're Wests Tigers supporters we feel neither highs or lows .

I'm a bit surprised for someone who was only going to take as much interest in it as watching water boil when you cook…..

It's the Nines....who knows the blokes selected may surprise

Well we're in a lot of trouble if Taylor is worried about the forum melting down. As they say in the dodgy bank ad. A ship in the harbour is safe but that's not what ships are for. The 9s is doomed already if clubs can send squads like ours.

Don't get me wrong, i think the nines is an awesome concept, but i don't really see it as anything to slit my wrists over. I think the clubs have the same mentality.

No doubt. Its the clubs mentality that continues to hold tge game back.

If you like car analogies, would you prefer going flat out in the warm up laps risking the main race?

Going on about attitude is great, someone else might say the right attitude is to get the house in order first, focus on the long term goals.

Seriously, every team is sending a team full of new recruits and young guys. Stand by my earlier comment that we as fans are a bunch of whingers.
