NINES TEAM...OFFICIAL

Even though it's only the nines you like to see us have a decent chance - and that was not going to happen with that team against the Roosters.
The idea of this game is to get in a position to move the ball.
Unfortunately we had no-one with any pace to pass it to.
Can't understand why, without players having the speed to turn and chase, we had no-one covering the back.
If it is NOT our aim to have a serious chance of winning then the club should tell its supporters beforehand that we are just blooding some young guys.
Then we can watch without any expectation.

We lacked a little in the last game. But give these guys a break in a whole we did well. Some exciting young players coming through. Just give them a chance.

As I said first day , we didn't win a game , the opposition stuck the white flag in the air

Unlike many on here I don't sugar coat s*^t

Simon Simon, my dear friend. You've been posting on this forum for too long. You're one of the most optimistic, one eyed posters on here, you'll put a positive spin on anything. As if you would have thought we had one of the worst squads on paper.

hahaha if i said what you wanted to hear i'd be moaning all day today. & it's far too nice a day for that. We performed much better than expected, & it was some of unheralded players that did that.
Would it hurt you that much to type something positive? Yeah, it probably would - but each to their own :slight_smile:

& the sharks are beating the warriors too - it's a good thing :slight_smile:

Yeah the final team selection and tactics were questionable, but the outcome was still better than anyone really expected.
It may be a b grade comp but winning is winning and it's infectious.
God knows we need a taste of it.
The bit we got was something at least, but it seems we might have sucked a bit more success from this event, given how little we really put into it.

All in al we did well….Topped our pool and made the quarter finals...when hardly anyone pre tournament thought we'd even win a game ...Young blokes impressed and the effort was there....

I still don't get this place , you call it the way it is or was and people whinge We played badly last game

If you can't handle the fact we played badly don't watch

People whinging that we had a weak side , well why pick a weak side to start with ??

Other clubs have picked reasonably strong sides , look at the Roosters ,Souths etc

We topped our group with out our 4 best playmakers/ attacking weapons and a very ordinary squad. In a group that featured the home team favourites !

We lost two games to two of the more fancied teams with much more appealing squads !

Seriously guys what more do you want ? By all means be passionate for our team but be fair and rationale at the same time…

Anyway my opinion on our tournament:

Taylor didn't take the tournament seriously enough. It's not that there were to many juniors, but to many forwards, not enough pace and only one unproven playmaker.

You made a thread on whether people's teams for round 1 have changed though based on yesterday.

On that Thread i did say i maybe getting ahead of myself , Sorry let's be sour pusses how some are on here .

WE ARE WOODEN SPOONERS IN 2015 , HAVE THE WORST JUNIORS COMING THROUGH , HAVE SIGNED THE WORST COACH WHICH THERE WILL BE NO IMPROVEMENT.

How's that sound , sorry for trying to see some positive's from some youngsters who were given some 1st Grade time :unamused:

They played ok in all the games except the game against the Roosters. I think that we were duded against the Warriors.

Kevin N, Santi, Buchanan and Cherrington stood out, but most of the boys went well.

Chris Lawrence, I am afraid is either in the forwards, on the bench or in reserve grade.

Not being a sourpuss , just think you need to go into every game with a game plan that might actually work and if it doesn't you have a back plan
