you really did get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning didn;t you.
Maybe go and have a quick nap and start the day again…

Just to fill you in softlaw , his soccer side he supports got dusted this morning . That might explain he's grumpiness

ahhh, that does explain a lot.
Smile GNR you'll feel much better for it

Even though it's only the nines you like to see us have a decent chance - and that was not going to happen with that team against the Roosters.
The idea of this game is to get in a position to move the ball.
Unfortunately we had no-one with any pace to pass it to.
Can't understand why, without players having the speed to turn and chase, we had no-one covering the back.
If it is NOT our aim to have a serious chance of winning then the club should tell its supporters beforehand that we are just blooding some young guys.
Then we can watch without any expectation.

Totally agree.

I also don't get why some fans say that we played well and that we should laud the great effort.
The Tigers are not our children that they need us to clap and cheer every little effort. They are professionals, so as their fans (or stakeholders) it is in all our interests to demand better!
Don't pander to mediocrity? Demand better!!

Some of you lot seem way too emotional atm, like we'd just lost a gf. Calm down and pace yourselves, its a long yr and we have bigger fish to fry.

Amen. We exceeded expectations, what more is there to complain about. If you are angry because we didn't take it seriously enough then thats a different can of worms. But you can't simply say "back to reality" with the squad that was picked for a micky mouse comp.

I'm emotional. I can't help it. It's an emotional subject.

Lol out of everyone, I think you need to calm down the most. This is not the first preseason and won't be the last. Everyone supports the team coz they have emotional connection to the team and you can't expect anyone to not show emotions win/lose.

I'll take the good with the bad. Cherrington impressed me the most. He was in a league of his own out there.

I think he was talking about Happy, but whatever.

Positives
-We went much, much better than 90% here expected.
-Drinkwater & Naiqama were very good, Naiqama and Fine showed Lawrence how to tackle and run the ball.
-Seumanufagai, Buchanan and Brown were very good, I like their attitude.
- Santi and Sue were very good, with Liolevave, Funaki, Akauola and Sironen our 2nd raw is very physical and fast.
-Cherrington must be close to FG, when Farah is out he shall be the 1st choice.
Hopefully Simona is not injured, as he was one of our best.
and
Negatives
-Luani is not #9, he is too slow for FG.
-Lawrence was again all talk (Benji at least played every 2-3 game :frowning: , while he is gone missing for the last 3 years), hole in defence and nonexistent in attack
- Why Hoeter did not play FB?

Go Tigers

JT did say that or something similar didn't he?
My earlier optimism about depth earlier may have been a tad premature.

I still think that some of the young guys will go a lot better with better players around them , especially withBrooks and Moses steering them around. Was Santi injured or just rested? . After this weekend I'd have him on the bench from the seasons start.
Sue is still a worry, always looks like he is going to turn into something good , but never seems to quite get there. Maybe I'm expecting too much?

Look seriously happy ,
we were not taking this tournament as serious by the Squad we took over there.
Did we exceed expectations ? yes
Some sides made us look better than we really are yesterday but a 9's tournament hardly worth gagging how our Season is going to fare up with so many players missing.
This is a very inexperienced side we are going in the 2015 Season no doubt , we have lost that many experienced players , that we are going to do with what we got .

Maintaining the intensity to win games week in week out will be our Achillies heel , but until we can get into the player Market and purchase some experience , we are going to struggle .
Chin up mate .

Why do we support the club?
To watch them play and win games in competituions against the others.
Never sits well with me not taking anything youre involved in seriously…so much for proffesionalism

Still feel the same?

Yep.

Great to see them play well yesterday….pretty average today...it doesnt change the fact the messages the club was sending to its fans, ''we're not taking this serious"...That is what **I** did not like...**MY** opinion.
Going by today....they certainly werent taking it serious....looks like they hoiked a white flag..."were done...were out"

Yeah i was talking about happy

I'd rather be whinging about losing because we had a weakened squad, rather than be whinging about 3 or 4 key players going down. People complain now, but won't even remember this tournament come the first week of March.
