Some of you lot seem way too emotional atm, like we'd just lost a gf. Calm down and pace yourselves, its a long yr and we have bigger fish to fry.

**Lol out of everyone, I think you need to calm down the most**. This is not the first preseason and won't be the last. Everyone supports the team coz they have emotional connection to the team and you can't expect anyone to not show emotions win/lose.

I'll take the good with the bad. Cherrington impressed me the most. He was in a league of his own out there.

I'm not the one that's been calling everyone clowns, wankers and dropping disguised f bombs.

I think the swearing was aimed more at you than in frustration.

I'd rather be whinging about losing because we had a weakened squad, rather than be whinging about 3 or 4 key players going down. People complain now, but won't even remember this tournament come the first week of March.

Wouldn;t you rather not be whingeing at all?

Why do we support the club?
To watch them play and win games in competituions against the others.
Never sits well with me not taking anything youre involved in seriously…so much for proffesionalism

Still feel the same?

Yep.

Great to see them play well yesterday….pretty average today...it doesnt change the fact the messages the club was sending to its fans, ''we're not taking this serious"...That is what **I** did not like...**MY** opinion.
Going by today....they certainly werent taking it serious....looks like they hoiked a white flag..."were done...were out"

are you very sure it is a fact.

I just want to throw my lot in with those who have drawn positives from our performance in the 9s. Its a nothing tournament, but does provide an opportunity for fringe first graders to push their credentials. The Tigers approached it that way. A whole bunch of players, Buchanan, Cherrington and Santi in particular - but others as well - have taken that opportunity.

It would seem we have no injuries as a result of this tournament which is another big plus.

The only negative from my perspective is that Lawrence didnt show any signs that this year will be better than the last. I really dont see him lasting the season in the centres. Where he ends up is anyone's guess, but I reckon Taylor is up for taking tough decisions.

Look seriously happy ,
we were not taking this tournament as serious by the Squad we took over there.
Did we exceed expectations ? yes
Some sides made us look better than we really are yesterday but a 9's tournament hardly worth gagging how our Season is going to fare up with so many players missing.
This is a very inexperienced side we are going in the 2015 Season no doubt , we have lost that many experienced players , that we are going to do with what we got .

Maintaining the intensity to win games week in week out will be our Achillies heel , but until we can get into the player Market and purchase some experience , we are going to struggle .
Chin up mate .

Not the point mate

Most other clubs at least give this comp a semblance of respect

We don't because we are too scared someone will get hurt

What does that tell everyone

We have no depth , and many of the players in our squad probably shouldn't be here

How did the Bulldogs Raiders Titans Manly Dragons Storm Broncos and Panthers go?

It's not that they're scared they'll get hurt, It's that they are already hurt and aren't 100% fit. Players like Moses, Teddy, Siro, Nofo are coming back from off-season surgery whilst others like Woods, Farah and Tapau have only just resumed training and aren't fit enough. Brooks has been picked to play the All stars match 2 weeks from now.

Under the circumstances what more would you have expected ?

Please enlighten us one-eyed optimists ?

We got lucky with the group we were drawn with

Simple as that Geo

Geezzz your pesimistic Happy. When we win it's because we're lucky and the opposition rolled over. When we lose it's because we have an ordinary side and have no depth.

Lighten up mate, it's the off season

Off season finished Friday

As I said earlier if others want to sugar coat it that's fine

I won't , I have expectations and as far as I'm concerned the 2nd day they weren't met

Tony do you think that the Titans or the Raiders played well ??

If I was a Raiders fan or a Titans fan I would of been seething with their performances against us

But that's OK , just keep accepting the mediocre BS we have dished out since the start of 2012

Lucky with the Draw lol… the Warriors and Titans were pre-tournament faves.....Dogs and Panthers didn't win a game...Manly won 1

The point is we performed better than all of them....

Anyone can beat anyone in this format. Going further than those teams isn't an achievement. Its like in cricket, some nations are much better at one particular form of the game than others.
