No New Signings until 2017 - Jason Taylor Statement

JT is managing ours expectation by applying the UPOD theory in practice… Under Promise Over Deliver....

You cannot recruit no one for 2 seasons, almost three…it just doesnt happen

We will continue to pickup blokes like Sila, Drinkwater and the young fella from Penrith imo...maybe a Lulia type from ESL on his last legs

Its got me baffled...i got nothin

Great opportunity for so many guys who are either youngsters emerging or been on the fringe for a year or so.

Take note Asipeli, Naqaima, Heleta, Santi, Lovett, Akaoula, Peni and Seve. And Moltzen of course.

There is always a positive if you choose to look for it.

I really feel for the kids who have been brainwashed into following the club by us parents . My 10 year old has been a diehard supporter for about 4 years now and even he's over it !
He now wants out & wants to follow the Panthers with a few of his mates !
Do I let him jump ship or do I tell him to hang in there ??

No other club is giving their juniors this opportunity. I don't care if we don't sign anyone, I just want our players to have pride in the jersey and play to the best of their ability each week. I would also like our coaching staff to develop our players and remove weaknesses. Is this really asking too much?
By the way who is head of our football operations? Is he/she a sleeper cell?

Who is going to sign up to play with this mob after they get the spoon two years on the trot?

We'll probably get heaps of good players after 2 years of the spoon - seems to be working for Cronulla!

You do not belong here….With Change comes opportunity,,,Well said

When Taylor got the job he said he needed to sit down, look at the roster, watch some footage and go from there.

From this I feel he decided Blair is a waste and found a taker in the Broncos. He probably has a few others he considers no good but no one will take them. Gavet was basically sacked before Taylor arrived, and once Jason was told why the club wanted Gavet gone he agreed, and Austin leaving had more to do with something kept quiet rather than his desire to play 6.

I also think with viewing the footage he now feels that there are no players on the market that are better than the youngsters we have coming through when you consider ability coupled with price tag.

I'm happy we have a coach and a guy in Moss who Identify this and back what we have rather then sign overs for useless players, or players that aren't quite worth what it will take to get them here.

There is a great battle for a number of positions with good talent amongst the candidates.

Great move by Jason Taylor and the coaching director to not waste money on a FPN or pay overs for SKD.

Has any one got a link to the interview?

So he has shed our whole backrow with no replacements. I have a feeling that we will get Bronson Harrison on the cheap back to the club to add some type of experience.
Sirro is not a 80 min backrower atm and still has much to learn. Our young halves are going to take a beating.

I can only imagine that the club is going to offset backloaded contracts with the free cap space. This makes perfect sense to me, instead of shifting our liabilities to future periods, we can even it out now and it gives the club a more balanced Cap in 2016 then 2017

Teddy is the perfect example.

No coach survives two years as a cellar dweller. Is Taylor signing his own death warrant? The fans ( or whats left of them) deserve to know from Meyer WTF is going on. With all the players released , including some of 2014's best, why is there no money available? The muppets we have left could not possibly be using up the salary cap. Nobody could possibly believe that is the case.
The real risk is in 2 years time Perth or the Central Coast replace us. You can't just let two years drift by. I am flabbergasted.

Mayer is pathetic, hate him with a passion.

The whole saga is a rubik's cube. JT's first interview he identified back row and the centres as an area that needs to be strengthened and 2 weeks later releases a back rower, and 2 weeks after that releases another back rower, and now says there are no recruits waiting in the wings as replacements. You can only speculate, but from that the best i can come up with is that he didn't know the state of the books when he made that comment. When he finally got insight into where we were with the cap, idk how he would have stopped his hair going bright white on the spot.

Its left me completely stuffed, we have our entire starting back row leave (one of which was on half a million), Anasta who was on a couple hundred and Austin, who granted was on chicken feed. We've lost all of that, probably close to a million and a half worth of cap space, and we can't make any significant signings for at least 2 yrs? If that's true how the hell does the club survive beyond the next two yrs.

I'm off to Bunnings to get some rope, anyone want anything while i'm there?

Do you have a bottle shop on the way to your Bunnings GNR

I'm thinking the reason we won't be signing anyone because it will take players from other clubs two years to forget what has happened with WT's over the last few years

Mr Koukash SOS

And people wonder why I have been flying off the handle

:wtf has gone on at the WT's ??

Sorry Grant we are waiting for an answer

No I will be following another club in 2015\. I will however keep an interest in Wests Tigers and hope against all probability that they don't win the wooden spoon.

I'd rather hang myself than switch clubs.
