Nofoaluma - Contract Thread..

Awesome news. Make him captain if he wants it.

Could be a good option at fullback. That takes care of his defensive decisions at wing as well.

It's a shame the signing of a club legend and player that actually is passionate for our club has been overshadowed by the clown Woods and his posse of traitors. I hope the crowd drown the announcement of these blokes with boos never heard before at Leichhardt. It will be an emotional day.
At the same time, I hope Nofoaluma is given a standing ovation for commiting to be part of the next generation that finally make Tigers a success.

I cant wait for the next Leichhardt game, i will be cheering nofa and brooksie like a mofo, amd i will boo the loudest i ever have in my life for the traitorous three…..i urge all others to join in.

I still think he would make a decent full back. his kick returns would be so much fun to watch.

I would never boo any player wearing the jersey of the mighty Wests Tigers and I hope it doesn't happen.

I loved his passion for the tigers after he scored.. showed just how much he loves the club . A true club champion.

Love him and love him even more after last night, sure he has defensive problems but runs the ball hard like one of our other wingers used to back in 09! That's the kind of player we need at the club that shows passion, and we kept him instead of Kora whos off playing that game called Yawnion

Have been really impressed by nofo's efforts and pride in the jersey.

The club have really gotten behind him if you keep an eye on twitter.

Wests Tigers winger David Nofoaluma has been voted by his teammates as the Round 8 Player's Player following his team's 18-12 win over the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

Having played every minute of every game so far this season, Nofoaluma continued his strong start to the season with another blistering performance out on the right wing.

The 23-year-old ran for a team-high 256 metres from his 17 carries on the night — his best total of the season, and the best single-season game by any Wests Tigers player this year.

Add to that his six tackle breaks, a linebreak and a try — which put him past Brett Hodgson and into the top 10 for all-time tries scored for Wests Tigers — and it was a big night indeed!

Nofoaluma has now scored against 14 of the other 15 NRL clubs, with the winger no doubt keeping an eye on the Brisbane Broncos, whom he comes up against in Round 11.

**Wests Tigers winger David Nofoaluma has waived his right to a 10-day cooling off period to re-sign with the NRL club.**

Wests Tigers winger David Nofoaluma has revealed he waived his right to a 10-day cooling-off period when he re-signed with the NRL club.

Nofoaluma joined Luke Brooks as one of the club's key players to have re-signed for next year, inking a four-year deal last Wednesday with the Wests Tigers.

Ordinarily, that deal wouldn't have been announced until the end of next week due to the NRL's 10-day window in the player's favour.

But with the Tigers in need of stability as headlines continue to focus around the futures of Aaron Woods and James Tedesco, Nofoaluma did away with the window to give the club some much-needed positive news.

"I signed a waiver so I'm done," he said.

"I love this club. It's my junior club and it's my local club."

The Campbelltown junior admitted he was tempted to join Parramatta.

"There were a few teams but the team that was chasing me the hardest was Parramatta," he said.

Nofoaluma has been one of the Tigers' best players in 2017.

He is ranked third in the competition for average metres (179) and second for tackle busts (56), in what has easily been his best year since debuting in 2013.

His passion for the Tigers is clear.

He kissed the club logo on his jersey after scoring his third try of the season in Sunday's 18-12 win over Canterbury.

And signed off with "#OnTheBus" when tweeting his re-signing - a reference to Ivan Cleary's infamous line that players are either on the bus of off it when it came to contracts.

And the 23-year-old said despite the ongoing dramas he had no concerns around re-signing with the club.

"I obviously spoke to Ivan and he knows what he's doing and he's a good coach," Nofoaluma said.

"I'm sure he's going to do the right thing by the club and he convinced me to stay and I want to stay under him."

Waived the COP, no doubt at the request of management, for the benefit of the club. What a legend! Always have and always will be a big fan of this guy!

When I hear these soft fans telling me I can't give the traitorous 3 grief I think of this guy.

Is it okay if we cheer Nofo ? Should we cheer these guys equally.

Act like scum get treated like scum. Act like a legend and get treated like a legend.
