Yeah I got the cane a lot... But the one that stands out clearly was in 5th class when I got it unfairly just being in the wrong place and the wrong time.
I'd never cry getting the stick but this time I did not for pain just a hole teacher didn't listen to me and others who were vouching for me that I was innocents... Got a bad case of the F- it's that day... Didn't care nothing was gonna be worse than it already was.
Saw some fairly violent stuff in high school from a select fee teachers and one pulled my hair pretty hard... She'd be sacked for it these days

What about the teachers who would let fly with a blackboard duster - lucky we were all pretty agile in those days.

I was at the game. Snowing, looked freezing and a great spectacle on the TV ive since seen on replays but wasnt really that cold at the ground. Mind you I had just popped back to Aus to visit friends a week earlier from the start of an English summer so not much difference in the temperature, just seemed like a brisk summer English evening.

Yeah.... I've been in Canberra when it's been 0' but wind off the mountains makes it icy... Others times been there - 6 or so, with no wind and didn't feel too bad... Wind chill.can be lethal

Had a franklin's at maroubra when we were there.. Dank and dark, very norrow aisles quite depressing really.. But much cheaper than the only other option a Coles
