Just WOW!!

101 years ago today Irish jockey Frank Hayes rode at Belmont. The horse, a 20/1 outsider called Sweet Kiss was to be his last.
Hayes died in the latter part of the race and his body remained in the saddle when they crossed the finish, winning by a head.
He is the first, and so far only, jockey known to have won a race after death

I recommend having a nice cup of herbal tea whilst listening to & watching this epic from Procul Harum "In held 'twas in I". It is simply breathtaking. At the 4.14 minute mark your t-shirt quote is put in context: "Write it down, it might be read. Nothing's better left unsaid." As WestsTigers supporters we live in hope that our team plays like those men from 2005 - "Pass that ball it might be caught. We might score a try or the score is nought".

Germany just leveled up public transport with a futuristic twist.

Meet the Coradia iLint—a hydrogen-powered train that runs on clean energy and emits only water vapor. No smoke, no pollution, just ultra-efficient zero-emission travel. Built by Alstom, these sleek machines are replacing diesel trains on non-electrified routes across the country.

Each train can run up to 1,200 km on a single tank, making them perfect for long-distance travel without the carbon footprint. Thousands of tons of CO₂ emissions are being wiped out yearly thanks to this move—and it's just the beginning.

Germany isn’t just riding the rails—it’s leading the hydrogen revolution.

A BBC reporter once stopped an elderly gentleman on the street to ask if he remembered the 1967 Merseyside Derby between Liverpool and Everton.

To his surprise, the man he stopped was none other than Tommy Lawrence — Liverpool’s goalkeeper in that very match.
