put Pacific Oysters up against Sydney Rock under those conditions
P O ( vermin ), will filter the tank 3 times faster and live 2.5 times longer with out aeration
yet P O aren't as sweet they hold their size during cooking, and are at their best cooked on a shovel over flames or thrown into the coals until they bubble over.
Won't see many 7 yr old ( very special) Sydney Rock , hand size, worth wasting over the coals anymore ,

During the reconstruction of the World Trade Center, construction workers had to choose bring their own lunch or go down for 30 minutes daily to grab a meal.

To solve this, Subway constructed a fully equipped shop within a shipping container, which was conveniently lifted to the workers each day.

The “Sky Subway,” as workers nicknamed it, opened in 2010 and served nearly 2,000 meals a day. It operated until the tower’s topping-out in 2012, closing only when the project neared completion.

Reactions: BZN
and the vast majority that humans consume is fed with food colourings and graded, to receiving country's preferred hue.
Thanks for sharing that Merlot as it's a fascinating, and slightly unsettling glimpse into how presentation shapes perception.
Just to add a bit of context, farmed salmon for example, don't naturally develop that rich pink colour we associate with wild varieties.

In the wild, salmon get their colour from eating krill and other crustaceans rich in astaxanthin which is a natural pigment.
Since farmed salmon don't have access to that diet, producers often add astaxanthin [either naturally derived or lab-synthesised] to their feed.
It's technically a carotenoid not a synthetic dye, and it's approved by food safety authorities, but it's definitely a form of colour enhancement to meet consumer expectations.

So yes, the colour of what we eat is often curated long before it hits the plate.
Makes you wonder what else is dressed up for the show.

And the story just gets bigger...... !!

I Love the colour of his playing gear rather than just daggy white.
And at the famous Pratten Park where the late Great Bobby Simpson 😇 was the previous record holder, WOW!!!😀.

A rare piece of RFDS history, the de Havilland Drover, is being carefully restored and relocated to its new home at the RFDS base in Mount Isa.

The de Havilland Drover was once a lifeline for remote communities, flying patients, doctors and supplies across vast distances.
With only 20 ever built — and just a handful still in existence — this aircraft is a treasured piece of aviation and RFDS heritage.

A niece of mine worked at the RFDS somewhere??? in western NSW for a short time shortly after completing her nursing training.
She unfortunately didn't stay there long as she found out she has a real 'fear of flying' 🤢 and still does 30 years later.
But she is a genuinely terrific person [she must have gotten that from me 😂] and has done her share of nursing in many different fields.
