Nathan Brown is great for the 3 hitups per match he can manage. I like the bloke but he hasn't got a motor, and things get worse with the interchange next year.

I see things differently but what's new? I think we are ok for forwards. Once Ava is official we will have enough numbers in the forwards, it's just a question of certain guys realizing their potential. I would like to sign Halatau for one more year though. I was huge for Taupau to play backrow but believe he needs to move back up front with interchange looking like it will eventually be only 6.
Someone like Santi who is a big backrower could have a future as a big minute playing front rower like an Aiden Tolman. I would be playing Santi in the front row in State Cup for big minutes to see how he goes. Also get the kid his offload back. Santi as our 5th front row option is better than what we had this year in Buchanan.
Get through 2016 with this lot and see how the likes of Sue and Ava develop. 2017 will see Klemmer on board if we need him.

As for being too small for the front row I doubt he's any smaller than many current front rowers playing. Guys like Moa, Tolman, even James Graham are not big front rowers. Even Chris Heighington was a starting front rower in a top 5 side this year.
I'm not sold on Santi, but he's in our squad and has shown some glimpses at times, so i think we should look at ways at getting the best out of him. The reduction in interchange should suit guys like him so the next 2 years there will be opportunities for him.
