Excuse me for asking but how exactly were his comments damaging?
He could've possibly worded it better but my take from what others have said (about his 360 appearance) is that there were some things said as well.

I think he didn't need to add the 'Madge tried going hard and that didn't work' comment. (I didn't see it, just read it second hand so apologies if I got it wrong).

I am personally sick of the 'Madge is too tough' narrative. I think it's exaggerated in any case. But does anyone think, for instance, Madge should be cuddly and gentle with BJ after last week?

I used to think that Paul Kent on NRL 360 but after a comment he made last night in regard
to Joey Leilua I would like to nominated Kent as the WT'S FORUMN number one enemy even in front of Rothfield.
A comment was made in regard to JL being off contract this year a few on the panel said someone will pick him up but KENT the rear end said no one would touch him reason being that if you can't make it at WT'S we're would he make it totally uncalled for and a huge slap/slur to our club.

The team deserves criticism they have earned it. Win a few games it will back off.

Yes they do, but we’re certainly not the only ones - Cows, Broncos, Manly and Dogs are all crap, but I guess the Broncos copped the bulk of their criticism last season. Interestingly, it all stopped though once Seibold was shown the door 🤔

Too hard, too soft the media is never happy!

Which is why I pointed out possibly rewording it.
I understand there's a clear agenda with the media on this but everyone's keeps saying the only way to get rid of it, is to win games so the narrative changes.
My question is why even focus on this when there's bigger problems?
None of that influences how we perform.

I think it comforts fans that actually don't think we have a problem.

On Bj... if you can’t make it WT you can’t make it anyway

Before James and benji go on . Ikin says we ask what benji feels how WT going after they sacked him. He was not sacked , just wasn’t re-signed

Anything we are copping at the moment is welled earned .....we are an abortion based on the 1st 2 games

Well considering it was Brooks 150th game as fans of the WT we have been waiting for him to step up, his kicking game was not great, we were playing at home should know the ground and conditions.

Think the fans have lost patience with him, he will remain this season but don't be surprised that he is shopped around in 2022, know there keen on Hastings.

That is a joke right - Brooks for Hastings,

That's like a Datsun 180B for an old spare tyre.

WT need to bite the bullet and go and get someone who can bring a cultural shift, whatever the cost. Not Hastings.

Who then ?

Not many of them really is there, throw the house at Bellamy in a GM type role. Look at the Titans model with Meninga. It’s gotta be a game changer.

Pay Cammy 2 million to come out of retirement ?

Nah, couldn’t see that attracting the players we need. And as good as he is, he’s on very old pins.

Edit: Maybe someone like Brad Fittler who is well respected and connected in the sport. I think a kid sitting down with Freddy is more likely to sign with us than the current conglomerate. He would have links to origin and does lots in the community, he’s a pillar. That’s the kind of change we need. How much does he want?

Definitely not

Pretty sure Terry Lamb was a pillar as well . How well did that go .

I'd prefer not to have a confirmed cheat as our coach who has been suspended twice when caught.

We're ok with a confirmed cheat as a CEO. ?

NRL360 is garbage television. Basically 'The View' for rugby league. It's barely a rugby league show. They reference and quote articles written by THEMSELVES! E.g. "Phil Rothfield in the Daily Telegraph writes..." and then the drama unfolds from there. Do not watch this show. Do not give them ratings. They are a leech on the NRL.

So basically just stick to the clubs media releases. How exciting.

There's more rugby league media than NRL 360. Watch "The Fan" - it is pretty good. Listen to podcasts; I recommend "Rugby League Digest" for a dose of League history. Read opinion pieces like "Making The Nut". Come on the forum!

I have Kayo I literally never watch NRL 360, I could never stand those shows. I sometimes watch a bit of Matty Johns after matches, but only when they review the matches that have played. When they start doing the comedy / variety show stuff I turn if off. Don't think I've ever gotten through a segment of Fletch or Hindy being morons, or that Emma lady talking about whatever it is she talks about. I skip over Professor and his mate, and not interested in Laurie Daley lurking in the shadows to eventually talk about punting.

‘Doesn’t bother me’: Benji’s brutal answer as worrying Tigers issues are laid bare

Benji Marshall has well and truly put his time at the Wests Tigers behind him.
The 36-year-old — who played 257 games over two stints with the Tigers — was asked on NRL 360 about how he feels watching his old club struggle so early in the season.

Marshall was brutally honest as he batted away the question.

“My interest in what they were stopped about in October when they let me go,” he said.

“I was focused on what I was going to do next. I don’t take too much interest into what they’re doing, it doesn’t affect me like it used to when I was there.

“I’m fully invested in Souths. What they’re doing at the moment doesn’t bother me. When I was there it did, but not now.”

Marshall was shown the door at the end of last season by coach Michael Maguire. His axing was particularly harsh given he discovered he was on the outer through news reports, despite going down in history as one of the Wests Tigers’ greatest.

The Tigers have had back-to-back losses this year, which Marshall did eventually touch on.

“We can talk about them that’s fine,” he said.

“They haven’t been up to scratch. They’ve had two pretty tough games, you have to take into account they played Canberra and the Roosters — two top four teams. Did you expect them to win any of those games?”

NRL 360 host Ben Ikin responded to Marshall, pointing out that it’s not the fact that the Tigers have lost their first two games which is most concerning, it’s the lack of improvement.

“I expected them to better,” he said.

“It’s not always about wins and losses, what you want to see if you’re trying to build to something better that there are indicators in the performance that suggest you are moving forward.

“There was nothing about that game (against the Roosters) that suggest the Tigers are better than they were last year.”

Former Bulldogs and Dragons forward James Graham believes the Tigers’ defence is a real sticking point in the team’s troubles.

“They don’t like look like they’re a Michael Maguire side at the moment,” he said.

“Going back to when he started at Wigan (in the Super League), he had a real impact there and that was built on defence... he comes to Souths and you see a noticeable difference in how they’re playing defensively and he’s just not having that impact with the playing group at the moment.

“All his teams always looked so well-drilled. You knew exactly what you were going to get with them in terms of their defensive structure.

“If you came up with a play that beat that, they seemed to be happy enough to go ‘you got us there but we’re going to stick to your guns on this.’

“At the minute they look like they almost don’t really have any structure.”

Graham went on to say Maguire has a huge task ahead of him and he has to figure out the right approach to get his team firing.

“Maguire’s possibly got one of the biggest tests of his coaching career. Does he put the pedal down more or does he lay off?”

Marshall — who spent two seasons under Maguire — gave his take on what the under pressure coach should do next.

“He’s put the pedal down before and that didn’t go very well so maybe he has to go the other way.”

Maguire made a couple of changes for Sunday’s clash with the Knights. The most important one being dropping centre Joey Leilua to reserve grade after a pretty poor performance last week.

That's what happens when you turn into Souffs scum - go and bag your head Benj!!!!

Benjis comments were bittter, we’re still better off without him you can’t tell me he’d be happy here to sit on the bench or worse still play reggies. He won’t mutter a word about it if it happens at south’s. He thinks he is bigger than the club and has a god given right to be chosen because of what he’s done in the past. That’s why he was let go because if that were to happen here he’d constantly be mouthing off in the media, he’s doing it now but apparently hasn’t thought of us since October.

And yes our efforts and performance have gone up accordingly

Absolutely would've been trounced by 60 if he was still here.
