NRL All Stars: Fulton Selected As Ellis Replacement

im voting for the big pom..He deserves it…Although i see Bennett has an extra 2 picks from whoever he wants added..
Bennett has big wraps on Ellis..(But dont we all)

Ellis was my first instinct, however I was thinking big picture. If Chris Lawrence got in and had a decent game that would almost cement his name for State of Origin (SOO) and well and truly place him in contention for the Green and Gold.

I will be happy for either to represent our great club.

Loos like Eastwood will be out of the All-Star game as well…

http://www.foxsports.com.au/league/nrl-premiership/double-surgery-grounds-eastwood/story-fn2mcuj6-1225988724366

Another reshuffle! At this rate of drop-out, I'm thinking of just leaving it until the day before voting closing...

Bulldogs' New Zealand international Greg Eastwood has been ruled out of NRL All Stars contention and fellow Kiwi and new Canterbury recruit Frank Pritchard could also join him on the sidelines.

Eastwood had surgery on both wrists in December and is expected to be sidelined for the first six rounds of the 2011 season; while Pritchard is recovering from a knee injury and will see a specialist tomorrow to determine if he will be fit to play in the February 12 Harvey Norman Rugby League All stars clash.

The pair, who were involved in the Kiwis' triumphant Four Nations campaign last November, were the top two Bulldogs forwards in the public voting for the NRL All Stars, which closes on January 27 at nrl.com

Michael Ennis replaces Eastwood and Aiden Tolman will take Pritchard's spot in the 64-man shortlist for the NRL All Stars team if he is also not cleared to play.

Only one player from each club can be chosen in the NRL All Stars team to join skipper Darren Lockyer and vice-captain Benji Marshall.

Eastwood, who has come back to the Bulldogs from English Super League club Leeds, broke his left scaphoid bone in the wrist representing New Zealand in 2009 and the right while playing for Leeds last March.

He complained of soreness in both joints when he started training in December, and scans revealed both wrists had failed to heal properly despite being operated on at the time

This just keeps getting better… Carney out of All-Stars as well:

No more reworking of the team for a while. This is talking what little fun there was out of it.

New team with the injuries and what not:

1.Dugan (Canberra)
2.Uate (Newcastle)
3.Jennings (Penrith)
4.Kenny-Dowell (Easts)
5.K.Gordon (GC)
6.Lockyer (AUS)
7.Marshall (NZ)
8.Hannant (Brisbane)
9.Farah (Tigers)
10.Blair (Melbourne)
11.Gallen (Cronulla)
12.Watmough (manly)
13.Mateo (warriors)

14.D.Taylor (South Sydney)
15.D.Johnson (NQLD)

18.Hayne (Parra)

Until they place the same selection criteria on both teams it is a trivial excercise anyway.

It is an exhibition match!!

There cannot be a similiar criteria on the Indigenous side as their race still makes up a mere 12-18% of the pro RL comps in Australia!

That is a hard AND unfair call smeghead!!

PS - Todd 'celeb tattoos' Carney is out due to a groin op!

Pritchard confirmed out today, Tolman in his place…

I was actually reffering to allowing the NRL all stars the same criteria as the AAS's
