Entry code EKWF9TZA

Draft is in two weeks....two spots left....make one yours. Go to https://fantasy.nrl.com/draft/leagues/join and enter the code.

Warning: It is a commitment though. Your team needs weekly attention.

Cheers. Welcome aboard. It's just some fun between Tigers fans. As with everything, some take it (very) seriously, most of us just enjoy it for what it is. It is hard though, cheering for "your" players, especially scum like Mitchell Moses etc. I tend to overvalue "ours" too, drafting multiple Tigers - possibly why I've never won :face_with_cowboy_hat:
Try to make the draft, as (to me) picking the players in your team is half (most) of the fun. Autodraft is normally okay, but you end up with injured blokes sometimes, which doesn't help you if they are drafted early.
1 spot left to get us to 20. Awesome work, all those that have joined. @Harvey fyi

We have 20 for the draft league. 17 man squads will not be viable as there wont be enough players that are playing each weekend to go around.

Options for teams are
1 hooker, 3 middle forwards, 2 edge forwards, 2 halves, 2 centres, 3 Winger/Fullback, 4 reserves (17 players)
1 hooker, 2 middle forwards, 2 edge forwards, 1 half, 1 centre, 2 Winger/Fullback, 8 reserves (17 players)
1 hooker, 2 middle forwards, 2 edge forwards, 1 half, 1 centre, 2 Winger/Fullback, 5 reserves (14 players)
1 hooker, 1 middle forward, 1 edge forward, 1 half, 1 centre, 1 Winger/Fullback, 6 reserves (12 players)
1 hooker, 3 middle forwards, 2 edge forwards, 2 halves, 2 centres, 3 Winger/Fullback, 12 reserves (25 players)

I Suggest that we either go with either
1 hooker, 2 middle forwards, 2 edge forwards, 1 half, 1 centre, 2 Winger/Fullback, 5 reserves (14 players)
or
1 hooker, 1 middle forward, 1 edge forward, 1 half, 1 centre, 1 Winger/Fullback, 6 reserves (12 players)

Thoughts

1 hooker, 3 middle forwards, 2 edge forwards, 2 halves, 2 centres, 3 Winger/Fullback, 4 reserves (17 players)

That's a NRL 17...that's my vote..

Yes only 13 players score per team in Draft..

20 teams in the league will be 340 players in squads.

Given that only 272 players will take the field each weekend, it would mean that there will be a lot of players scoring zero across the league and no one to replace them with

13 x 20 = 260 that score in draft..Reserves/Emergencies don't score unless a player in your starting 13 is out..

It means have to spend more time and be more selective in picking initial squads..will also open up more trading between squads rather than just free agency like it always ends up..

Then I guess you run the risk of entrants who just give up after a few rounds...

Having 14 man squads just means more free agency trading week to week..

Was in a 20 team comp last year...worked OK but entrants were willing to trade between squads which has never really happened in the forum comps ..

Up to you if you want 14 I'd go this option..1 hooker, 2 middle forwards, 2 edge forwards, 1 half, 1 centre, 2 Winger/Fullback, 5 reserves (14 players)

Leave it as is Harvey ...it makes you think about how your squad will work and how certain players become more vital than others

And might actually create more evenness across the comp

The annoying that usually happens is after 4 rounds people pull the pin in the comp and 4-5 decent players are off the list .....

I don't know how you fix that ???

Hey sorry, it’s my first crack at it.

1. Surely the draft order is pretty important haw is the order decided?

2. Is it a live event the draft? Do I sit there on the day looking at who has been taken and then pick a player. Or is the idea to pre pick them and it will tell me my team when the counter reads zero.

Cheers in advance
