Hey sorry, it’s my first crack at it.

1. Surely the draft order is pretty important haw is the order decided?

2. Is it a live event the draft? Do I sit there on the day looking at who has been taken and then pick a player. Or is the idea to pre pick them and it will tell me my team when the counter reads zero.

You can pre pick who you want in your squad , but with 20 people against you a lot of players will disappear quickly

I'd say if you can do the live draft ...do it .....you might find a diamond in the rough

Draft order is sort of important , but it evens itself out

Draft order is a snake format 1 -20 then reverse order 20 - 1...so after 2 rounds it evens out

The commissioner..(harvey) sets the initial order or just go with the random initial one set by the league...

You can participate in the live draft which is better ..also do the pre select draft ..you pick when it's your turn or the highest pre-selected player on your list gets chosen if you time out...Not sure what the time out period is set for ..we found 1 minute is best as 1 year at 2 minutes it took forever for those who were participating in the live draft to get a pick..

A tip I use is to go through the pre-draft list and ignore players who are currently injured not expected back in the 1st 2 NRL rounds or out for the season already ..as an example McInnes is currently the 3rd ranked player on the list but is out for basically the whole season so drafting him would be a massive waste of a pick..

There is a few however like Pongo, Hass, Johnson even Doueihi who are currently injured/suspended who you could carry on your bench for a few weeks

And might actually create more evenness across the comp

The annoying that usually happens is after 4 rounds people pull the pin in the comp and 4-5 decent players are off the list .....

I don't know how you fix that ???

If anyone pulls the pin after a few rounds I'd be happy to take over their squad if that is possible in any way. It might not be, you'd need them to be willing to give their log-in details.

Happy with any start time Harvey as long but prefer it not during the Tigers game

Is what I suggest we run with. I have been playing in a 20 team draft comp for a couple of years and this is what we run with. We just had our draft and 12 x 20 means that all good and most ok first graders are gone. If playing with larger teams, the player pool will empty pretty quickly.

Sunday arvo works well for me @Harvey

1 hooker, 3 middle forwards, 2 edge forwards, 2 halves, 2 centres, 3 Winger/Fullback, 4 reserves (17 players)
1 hooker, 2 middle forwards, 2 edge forwards, 1 half, 1 centre, 2 Winger/Fullback, 8 reserves (17 players)
1 hooker, 2 middle forwards, 2 edge forwards, 1 half, 1 centre, 2 Winger/Fullback, 5 reserves (14 players)
1 hooker, 1 middle forward, 1 edge forward, 1 half, 1 centre, 1 Winger/Fullback, 6 reserves (12 players)
1 hooker, 3 middle forwards, 2 edge forwards, 2 halves, 2 centres, 3 Winger/Fullback, 12 reserves (25 players)

Cannot go with 25 in a league this size, 17 is a stretch, but would be doable.

Have downloaded the app but can't seem to access any details ie:team name etc.

I’ve set up a pre draft list as I’ll be out bush on Sunday. Just looking at the settings; is it set to 5 minutes per turn? If so this could get outrageously long for those participating live.
