Both teams that had the week off lost.

And both teams that had to win 3 games to progress, won !!
I’ve always felt the week off ( either finals or bye) is a disruption not an asset.

One way to fix the hip-drop issue is to deem classic leg tackles (around the ankles) as dominant tackles.

This would give the tackler opportunity to hold on a little longer and prevent fast play the balls and thus would incentivise the technique. Because, lets be honest, coaches only care about the best game outcome, even at the expense of injuries.

How do you think his leg was broken in two.places and pierced the skin?

One of those breaks he already had , Iam not saying Crossland didn’t break his leg , but the match day didn’t show it as a clear hip drop .

This not an opinion that will stand the test of time.
It was a blatant hip drop, he tackled high, lost his feet and landed on the lower leg, snapping it.
Neither he nor Ponga remonstrated with the ref when they got called over and accepted the send off. His coach didn’t blow up in the presser. It’s all obvious stuff.
