I think its very hard to gauge a player in the 9's format for regular season footy, but Jennings did look fit and seemed to have a yard of extra pace. Walters looked balanced and had a decent passing game, possible hooker option even a bench option. Be good to see how the boys go tomorrow. Didnt get to see slimes game did Stefano play if so how'd he go?
Yeah I agree... Good to see them go well first up but how this translates to real footy is yet to be seen.
Good for confidence for coach and players I guess and good for memberships.... God damn annoyed me no end in years past when we looked like we didn't give a stuff

Saw a good suggestion in another thread that said the prize could be added to your salary cap. That would get teams taking it seriously. Bellamy and Seilbod aren’t even in Perth.
I think the prize money should go directly to the players that won the final
Not the cap
That way the best players might put thier hand up to play in the Nines
Imagine south's win
Latrell Mitchell isn't even playing
Why should he get a share if it goes to the cap
Why should a top club get another advantage
If we want the best players to play then the prize money should be distributed amongst the winning players and not go towards the cap
That's about $55,000 per player
That should be enough of a carrot to get the best players to participate.
Now In saying all that, I think there should be a limit on the number of regular first grade players in each team
If 18 payers are selected from each team then I think a minimum of 5 players with less than 5 games of NRL experience should be selected for each team
And to take it further, a minimum of two of these players should be on the field at all times
It would great experience for these players, and would get them ready for the next step up. It's just a thought but is exciting to see the next generation of players coming along and how they can perform against some of the best players. Even if it is in the short game.
