NRL rd 16 *Spoilers

Even allowing for their injuries etc, any team with the Roosters roster should never get lapped by 46 and not be able to score a single point themselves. Even our much lambasted outfit put 16 on the Storm and only lost by 4 more than the Roosters.

Trent Robinson is not keeping up with the current game.

Their top 17 has been flogged this year.

Friend, Cordner, Morris... retired.

Not to mention Verrils, Hutchinson, Radley...
Keary.. out for the season.

They're in the 8 so doing better than us but yeah, they cannot win the comp this year.

We had Doueihi out,

Packer and BJ... retired haha.

Roosters are imploding. They even got smoked by the Broncos. We will finish ahead of them on the ladder, you heard it here first.

Melbourne going to put a cricket score on the Roosters tonight

Who said Hynes wasn't worth the Money
Sharks have go a good player there

And Finucane still has it

You can understand nuff nuffs on here not recognizing how good Hynes is, but how does our recruitment team not make a play for him when he was still going cheap early in the season?

A few of us...

You and I, mainly... were begging for them to talk to Hynes.

The naysayers were all over here saying he's slow and whatnot.

He's a star.

I got howled down for suggesting Hynes. "Wouldn't be any good out of the Storm system, we have a FB for the next 10 years etc. etc."

Monday morning quarterbacks are early tonight:blush:

Stating the facts Bud.

Why aren't the comms giving it to the chooks like they did to us playing the storms

It’s not 40 nil

And as bad as the chooks are tonight, they're not as bad as we were.

Yep

The games not over yet. Maybe Tigers not as bad as thought , maybe Storm just too good.

Could be

Yep, but they had big Solomon and Harry and was a dry fast track.

So true

Watched a little of the lead up on 9 before flicking to Fox when that gibberer SBW opened his gob.
Flicked back at the end and there he was again trying to string a sentence together.
Surely they have to punt him?

Punt him?

Two best coaches in the NRL now ask your self is Madge a bad coach ? how much is it the cattle you have and how much is it the coaching

My only issue is, at worse, it looks like there's not a single competitive bone in the WT team. This has to have an impact on what other players think of our team/club.

The Tigers are the Club Med of the NRL or maybe ... Weekend at Bernie's.....

But someone has to finish last and also ninth

This might sound stupid but I honestly don't feel we're one of the worst teams and think we only need several key positions filled, but as far as I can see there's too much repetition with poor habits and not much forward movement to realistically determine how far off we are.

Edit: spelling.

You're quite right. If our game against the Panthers taught us anything it's that missing 5 or 6 players makes a world of difference to teams. Roosters are finding that out now.

The Storm are one of the few teams who have the depth - or more importantly the structure - to handle a few injuries.

Our issue is finding the right 5 or 6 players and then convincing them to come here.

You are right there, we are great at bringing in quality players but when they work out we don’t have those key players they head to the Roosters or Parra.

I'll raise you, we are two players (two centres) and 1 rule change away from being a good team. If the game slows an iota teams like the tigers and Newcastle fly up the ladder. Manly, souths and dragons plummet. WTs are too big and not mobile enough, if the grind comes back they will win more than they lose. The way games are blowing out at the moment it's not unreasonable to think a slower game could come back, player welfare be dammed. Only time will tell.

The storm are 100% clinical.
Wave after wave.
Relentless.
Combo of drilled structures and player freedom to play what's in front of them.

Should've put more context, as my inclusion of the words at worse doesn't seem to be understood and was actually in relation to the team as a unit. So sorry for any confusion but meant the team doesn't look competitive enough in today's game, when playing their worse.
